One thing I know from experience, is that tuning the carburetter on a 1965 327ci 300 horsepower Chevrolet V8 is much, much easier than tuning one of these tiny little glow-engine carbs... The tiniest, most minute tweak on such a carb makes a world of difference, whereas the "gas guzzling" 4 barrel Carter AFB slapped onto that devilish muscle car will go with pretty much anything. The initial setup you had going seemed too lean. When you open the throttle, more air enters the engine. If there isn't enough fuel being metered in to reply to the sudden rise in air supply, it just bogs down and eventually stalls. Get it right however, as you have skilfully done, and it responds with a rise in RPM. If you go too far with the enrichment, it drowns the engine in no time at all. Kudos on setting it up, my man! Well done!
Yes it's like one small step for man, one giant leap for the carburettor with the adjustments. Since the test run I've found a few leaks around the carb maybe looking at replacing o-rings that will be adding to the set up issues. Fuel and air mixing ect must be way off with the leaks. I'll keep at it as you say I'm in the ball park, I'm aiming for a rich run but not to bog down at high end.
@@mehimrc1314 Better to run a little too rich than the opposite. Lean mixtures can lead to total engine failure at high engine speeds. Over-fuelling just leads to higher fuel consumption and loss of efficiency, but you can't blow an engine that way. Definitely, air leaks will make adjusting nearly impossible. Have fun! Looking forward to seeing more of it.
I'll admit the smell is biblical but it's a shame is has to come with that noise 🤣 I'll make sure not to over rev the engine without the rest of the car attached haha, thanks dude.
The pin that I pointed out? Inside the carb slider... I'll be testing more soon so I'll try that first and see how it effects the engine. Any information to try is good cheers bro
I'll wrap my head around how to set the screws bro. I know which is which but setting these two low speed needles will be the key. High speed and idle is a doddle.
U r defo getting there buddy, wen inhad rc nitro planes they was a bitch to set up as u dint want them stalling in the air but wen u find that sweet spot they run beaut just keep playing about with the mixing screw and find that sweet spot between rich and lean and u will b set, but so far so good buddy 👊💪🤙👍👍👍👍

GOOD JOB BROTHER!!! I really enjoyed watching as always! 👍💯
Cheers dude, having thought of not running nitro and doing a conversion. It's cleaned up so well my mind is torn atm.
@@mehimrc1314 oh no! Ya, this hobby is expensive!!! No matter what you do I’ll love it! Can’t wait!!!!!!!!
Good effort mate.
I'll take that dude, from where this has came from it's looking better every day.
Yes bro haha .. buzzing for you it stays running once fired up which is a biiig bonus . Good on ya you mad scientist 🤪 haha
Cheers dude, I've got the idle down its a case of working, high & low speed needles out. Tinker tinker nitro is a stinker 😂 feels good hearing it go.
@@mehimrc1314 yh same I was grinning hard when she fired up boom 💥
Thanks me him . Will See you an chantelle on the live tonight . 😁👍👌
Hell yeah Gaynz and thanks for watching.
Man I kinda miss that nitro smell :)
Sounds very good to me, just make sure you don't rev it too high without any load.

👍
Chees dude next it'll be in the car fingers crossed.
I’ve always heard take it all the way in, back it out 1/2 turn and go from there. Hope that helps.

@@mehimrc1314 No, it’s your idler and top screw.

thunder tiger 21 pro engine is the best engine
I'm yet to run it in the car, couple teething problems. The carbs not sealing getting a bad leak causes some tuning and set up issues.

Sod planes falling out the sky, cars are sketchy enough mate. I think I'm almost there with it, little bit more tinkering and it'll be good to go.
@@mehimrc1314 is that ur hiding spot from Chantelle lol? She was cross with u last nyt bro wat did u say to her lol
@@BIGALSCRAWLERS in real life, I say way worse and get off likely mate haha. And yes that is my hidey hole 🤫

Better than a cold cupboard mate haha we made do with the space we got.
Just subed 😁👍🏻
Cheers dude more progress has been made on the nitro if that interests you.
Cool 😁
You’ve gone nitro?
About as nitro as Tesla 😂 just a project that will come out now and then. I'm still 💯% Lipo but not liposuction.
