    I love using text messaging and email to send quotes. It allows the customer to see everything broke down. Sometimes when speaking over the phone details are lost or forgotten. If it is sent thru those forms, it is always found. Either I have it, or they do. So, I know exactly what was quoted. I generally sell about 80k by myself at Ford in the quicklane.

    Next topic should be about the balance overselling vs underselling customers - flushes, not nit picking vehicles to death and recommending everything under the sun vs still maintaining vehicles and fixing what needs to be fixed without raking customers over the coals

    It’s also about doing what you said you are going to do. As it is a promise. Many are not organised to remember what they said they are going to do so they have to have a very good personal reminder system. So this is something that needs to be taught, how to use the iPhone, the PC or an old manual calendar. Bob

    I am a new advisor and I use text messages to give minor updates, where your vehicle is in the diag process, when parts should arrive etc. But if the complete diag is found or we need to talk about cost, I will call. If I am unable to reach by phone I will text and tell them we have an answer and they need to give me a call.
