I know that this was a few months ago, but I'm going to get my input. Originally, he didn't want to be the Yankees & I was against going for him, but last time I checked, people are allowed to change their minds. What Michael Kay failed to mention was that his father scolded him for his comments. Stroman badmouthed our organization & is now pitching for us & yes, I know that Hal signed out of desperation, but still. Ken Griffey Jr never changed his mind about the Yankees either; however, if we had traded for Vlad Jr, we'd have to get out of Rizzo's contract.
Some players just have a weird thing where they don’t want to play for the Yankees. Guerro, Scherzer, Ohtani, Cliff Lee, Ken Griffey JR. My opinion is you shouldn’t take those guys no matter how good they are.
