Lovely little stars. My great granddaughter will love these in her hair or a fairy garden garland for her room. Thank you. I appreciate the time you take to teach those of us who have forgotten the “how-to” of fun projects.
This video is one of the top five videos on TH-cam for crocheting. It’s always the simple ones that you can refer back to that help you in two minutes. Simple patterns are the beginning of intricate ones.
I love these. I think I will make some up for my grandson's christmas shop at school. Attach each star to gift tags and leave a few so if the kids want to hang them on their tree.
@@HookedbyRobin yah I’ve already made 4 of them! 1 failed and the other three turned out amazing! Do you think you could make a tutorial on how to make an easy teddy bear? I’m still new so if you do make a vid on it it would rlly help! Thx so much! And good night from South Africa!
Ms.Robin, I want to say Thank You for this tutorial! I followed right along with my first star & suddenly I made 10!❤My youngest granddaughters were just in awe ❤They love them too❤
I have watch several magic ring tutorials and they never clicked but watching you do it in this video it was like OH! That's easy and I have been making a ton of these little stars and other things. Thanks!
This is the first thing that I ever crocheted, and I tried to do many other videos on how to crochet, but this one is the only one I could master first try! They are so adorable, too! I made a white one, and it looked like a snowflake! perfect for new starters like me. I love all of Robin's videos! Thanks for teaching me how to crochet, robin! :)
These are so adorable and cute as a button!! I haven't been able to crochet much this year due to health reasons but I can definitely do some of these stars since it's such a short and quick project! I'll use them to decorate my gift tags this year!! ❤🎁
I found that if you make a picot at the tips of the stars, they make nicer points. Example: Magic circle, single crochet, double crochet, chain 2, make picot, double crochet, single crochet and so on.
Very cool! I might experiment with making larger stars with more points. In the Bahai faith, 9 pointed stars are meaningful; there's a holy day coming up and I would love to give out some 9 pointed crocheted stars
Your tutorial was so useful ! I was working on a lovely Christmas Tree garland that I ordered on Pinterest... but I coldn't manage to do the magic ring and stars the way the pattern explained. I then watched half a dozen other youtube crochet stars videos... but they also were so confusing to me (I'm pretty much a beginner!). However, yours was the one I could follow! So I made stars for my whole tree garland, and I know I'll make more as decorations for gifts, etc. Thank you !
My 5y/o granddaughter just told me she wanted a beanie with a star on it, looked it up on TH-cam came across your name….and without watching it yet went YEP YEP….never made one before but I love your videos 🎉
Too cute…I will use these mostly on Christmas gifts as decoration and pop them in here and there with garlands and the such…thanks robin…happy holidays
aaa, thank you for doing this! i just made my very first project!! ive been soooo bored then i found crocheting from tiktok and my grandma, so i decided to do it too- and im proud of myself aaaa
@@idlewildwind when you assemble a quilt you need to stabilize three layers. Bottom layer, middle layer (batting), top layer pieced. This can be done a couple of ways. Mainly it's sewing the layers together. This can be accomplished with a sewing machine, or by hand. If you do it by hand you can sew patterns like you could with a sewing machine or you can tie the quilt. Tying the quilt is a process of taking usually a larger thread using a needle insert it from top of the quilt to the bottom and then about a 1/4 inch away return it to the top and tie the 2 ends together. Using the star I would needle the ends to the back of the quilt and tie them together. Leaving the star on the top as a decoration.

Instead of racking my brain to figure it out I copied yours in #10 cotton thread. I put a little bit of Ok-to-Wash-It glue on the tips and let it dry before I sewed it to the base. It was perfect! 😊
