Thanks for your kind comments, if you enjoyed this video we did the same again, only this time on a super rare 1 of 99 ERA Turbo Mini th-cam.com/video/8WcVfQFczcs/w-d-xo.html 👍
KITTs lovely well done . Used to be able to buy a tidy mini in the 80s for under £200 . Probably worth ten grand or more now . What the world needs now is a new mini mini .
Is it possible to make a Mini any cooler, if you watch this you know it is, skill level and coolness both off the scale. That is a work of art, a car of your dreams have to admit to being ever so slightly jealous.
While 6 months does not seem like a long time, Keith and Marc put a huge amount of effort, blood sweat and just plain hard work into restoring this Mini. Keep up the great work, hopefully you did go broke on this or any of the future projects. Great Job lads!
The nice thing about minis is that they are so customizable. I did a similar project on my channel but backdated mine. It’s cool to see such different versions of the same car in this video. 👍
I never know what to be in awe of more....the mechanical enthusiasm or the filming production? Seriously entertaining stuff. I imagine the 121 dislikes come from vegan-type green warriors? Sorry if that’s disrespectful to vegans but WHO could possibly dislike this film? Finished article is not generally the sort of thing I like, but massive respect for a real work of art. Jolly well done!
Astounding work. ❤ Not forgetting the willing contributions from 'The Guvnor' (other half.) During the boot fitting. Let's face it lads, it takes a 'Woman's touch' to bring the job along.👍 👍Thumbs up, and subscribed.👍 Well done to one and all.
It is exciting to see so much passion and dedication to what we like. Keep it up, I am a faithful follower Spectacular work, congratulations from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Me in quarantine watching this and thinking, if only i had a project like this right now would have done a terrible job but at lest my days wouldn't suck so much.
Superb job. Also love he ERA mini, my dad and brother worked at ERA in dunstable for many years i remember dad coming home and saying how good the turbo minis looked. He always came home with a few spares for my miini 35. Still sitting in the drive needs quite a bit od work doing on it. It has the original prototype ERA dashboard which i fitted myself.
Very, very interesting! Congratulations! And some timely warnings for anyone attempting to tackle something like this - like the 3mm adjustment you had to make to the rear panel!
Well done, guys, good video, and KITT looked great at the L2B. We had 'Charlie' at the SNS, and we admired KITT, but did not realise that you had only just finished him in time for the event. Having seen the final result, I am only now looking through all your videos showing KITT being built. . :o) Great job!
.........simply amazing.........but one major mistake.........the steering wheel was installed on the wrong side of the car !.........but at the end of the video, i could see everyone driving on the wrong side of the road so that major mistake worked in their favor..............!...........fantastic work........nothing but respect for these great people.......!
Great video.....I've watched it a few times now. Once at double speed, once at normal speed and once at quarter speed. Yes I know....I'm retired.Ha! Who supplies the electronic dashboard and was it easy to install? Now I'm off to watch your other videos. I have a 1960 Van with SPi I'd like to finish.
Now then, don't sell yourselves short. I reckon you've done a fabulous and highly professional job by anybody's standards. BTW, I liked the bit about the missing VIN - oh for the days when all they did was to look out of the window for the reg number to put on the ticket, eh?
Thanks Lawrence. As Keith says, just a hobby. For me it's also a break from my everyday job as a builder/carpenter, takes my mind off work for a bit. Funny you should say that, i'm going to be selling KITT soon! Not everyone's cup of tea so a limited market. Also, probably going to put my Pick up up for sale soon too. 😉

Grandissimo lavoro! Bravi! Gran bella Mini! Peccato il troppo nero ovunque! Con cerchi e cornici cromate diventerebbe top.

Bought my 1989 Mayfair for £300 in 2003. Apparently it's worth over £8k now. Still not selling.
Wonderful ! She is Reborn

Thanks John, it was enjoyable to build
Thanks for watching John 😎. Perhaps even cooler if i was to put a manual road rocket Swiftune Engine in it.........😉
Mark Draper that would go some. The whole thing looks like a labour of love.
Fantastic. Beautiful car!!!
One of the best car restorations that I have ever watched...

Great job and video thanks for sharing 👍🏻
amazing restoration...take long time...but the finishing is awesome...
Hello Michael 😍😍
Were all the new panels zinc-electroplated (zintec) steel which would significantly reduce future rusting?
No, I don't think so. They come E coated from Heritage
Nice job guy's👌
GB is famous for their kitcars, but KITT cars, thats something different...I enjoyed the vid, thanx
Glad you enjoyed it.
Divine job mate! Oi from Greece!!!
That was awesome, one suggestion, window tinting.

Great build. Can you tell me where the fibreglass dashboard comes from, very interested for my mini build. Thanks.
Curley UK carbon fibre
The fibreglass dash was from Ebay and was around £80.00. The Dash in Bolt was from Curley Uk.
Turned out great one special mini that stands out from the crowd.... So wots next on the Keith and Mark adventures ERA Turbo ..🤔
We are currently working on Project ERA and Project Sprout. Hope you are already tuning in.
How much did it cost in total
We didn’t really keep a tally on cost but estimate it was around £18-£20k
The dash looks well nice, where did you get it?
Curley carbon fibre
I actually got it from eBay and was only £80.00.
I love mini^s
this is car have a aircon or nothing?
No aircon as it's a UK spec car. Not really needed in the UK
Wow 😍👏👏👏😘👍
spot on loved it
It's all very well having a go at Project Binky, but I didn't see many brackets or cups of tea being made here.
LOL, we would never put ourselves on the same level as Binky, those guys are pros, especially in the tea drinking category 😂
Now then, don't sell yourselves short. I reckon you've done a fabulous and highly professional job by anybody's standards. BTW, I liked the bit about the missing VIN - oh for the days when all they did was to look out of the window for the reg number to put on the ticket, eh?
From where can I get that bottom lip like the blue mini at the back ?
I think it was from ABS Motorsport, I can't find the link on the website, you may have to call them
If you search ABS Motorsport for Mini Mexico front spoiler you should find it.
Mr bean approves. This video motivates me to work on my mini.
Love the build guys, can I ask what seats you're using ?
Standard seats from an SPI Mini that were then recovered
Pretty sure this mini is now in Jersey Channel islands. I know someone with one thats the exact same which was built in the uk
Yes, it was sold to a guy in Jersey
@@classicminiworkshop I thought it was. Great job it is honestly an amazing build
Do u guys sell???
No, it's just a hobby although Mark is selling this car. He plans to covert it to manual but maybe someone will want an auto
かっこいい👍
How much in prox cost restoration like this ? I have 998cc from 1976
Kind regards ( amaizing video )
cheers
I'd say for this project, in the region of £12,000, not including my labour.
my dream car hihi goodjobs both of you sir more videos sir ! god bless 💪 how much it will cost for the full restoration for that ?
I think it would have been around £12k + labor
Wow! This is the proper way to restore. I would love to have one of your vehicles. Do you charge to do this or is it a hobby?
Thanks Lawrence, it’s just a hobby
Thanks Lawrence. As Keith says, just a hobby. For me it's also a break from my everyday job as a builder/carpenter, takes my mind off work for a bit. I wish finishing mine ...
how much to restore one mini and do you ship to usa ?
or do you have any in stock for sale? ship to usa?
Sorry, we don't buy and sell. We just restore our own cars.
Although, i would consider selling KITT now.
wonderfull work ! Séquential gearbox ? Sorry , i'm French !
Automatic gearbox.
I seem to remember there was a KTT Velocete Motorcycle. Any tie up??
No, unfortunately not. It was a themed build from the 1980's Knight Rider
What brand of mini headlights are those. Looking at upgrading my track car headlights
They came from www.totalcarreviews.com Perfect for show or track but you might have some issues for MOT in the UK
I have owned 5 minis in my lifetime but never had one with wind up windows.
