All they have to do to make Burning sorcerer viable is the following: Firstly changes to ultimate. Nobody needs mana regen in a burning build so 'Supreme Inferno' should be changed. Suggested change: Supreme Inferno: During inferno, your damage over time effects are able to critically strike. This will alow for Burning builds to synergize with crit and crit damage which we can't get around as Sorcerer. Also it will increase burst potential during certain periods. The next thing that has to change is the Key Passive, 'Combustion'. In it's current state it is very strong against groups of enemies (4% damage increase per unique burning effect per enemy). With 3 burning effects and 10 enemies this stacks op to 120% damage. Add that on top of the flat 60% and we're at 180%. That's very strong. The problem is bosses. If you stack 3 burning effects on a boss you only get 12% damage. If they would change 'Combustion' into the following: "Your Burning effects deal x60% increased damage and an additional x4% per unique source of burning applied to the enemy (x20%) for bosses." This wouldn't be OP at all. Since we probably can stack max 3-4 burning effects, so it would cap at 80% on Bosses, which is still lower than fighting groups of enemies. Still. These two changes, with criticals strikes during inferno could double, triple our quadruple boss damage based on your ultimate cooldown and your crit chance / damage. It would completely change the play style of Burning and open it up to a lot of different styles of play i.m.o.
Am i calculating this right? On the Enchanter board you could roughly get another 2400 Int by putting in the Eliminator glyph? not to mention all the other normal node boosts. great videos!
Have a look at mekunas new pit 100 build. Uses the new uber head, and raka boots. Tal rasha and starless. Absurd damage. Coupled with barb and druid runes. You almost get the same cdr with tal and raka
I played 2 sorcs this season. 1 pure CL into CL/splintering energy hybrid and the other fireball from lvl1 to the end (because I found a 4GA illuminators and 2GA endless rage with almost perfect unique affixes). I wanna try something new next season and that Blizzard damage looks ridiculous 😮
I really like the new Paragorn boards. Looks better and way more structured. Also limiting it to 5 will be a lot easier to balance and learn for new players. I really, really hated the previous Paragorn and Glyph leveling system. I thought it was the worst part of the game and I am glad they changed it.
My Andariels/Starlight seems to work just fine...I dont know why you are using legacy gear you can get any uniques from the boost demon and Ancestrals from the obol vendor...gear is the easy part in the PTR...
What sense to test your build with all the 4GA Mystic uniques in 5 slots, when you never get them on real server. Try to make a build with 1 Mystic which can complete T65 Pit - that will be the reality.

I have never maxed out a Char but I am running Familiar with Hydra as the two main maxed skills I only have 195 paragon but it feels good to me, the other skills are Ice Blades, Lightning Spear, Teleport and Spark. I am not using anything but dropped items not things from the Cheat Goblin, had a Tal Rasha with 3 in Potent Warding, with only three one star Ancestral items so nothing over the top so most of my items are max 750 power. As you where saying swap the top board as needed, I'm using Elemental Summoner. So there is a heap of room to get it much better.
@@StefanRoth-f8g gonna make you upset beforehand. You won't be able to do Pit65 with this build and farm T4 any reliably. Even T3 will be an issue for you. And the difference between T3 and T4 complexity is huge, so..
That was the thing; Sorcs had to use armor gems and get armor from items to gain maximum armor, unlike barbs etc. struggle getting resistances maxed but have easier with armor side. Thats how it shoud be.
i have an idea because the ring of starless skies and the new helm and the rune word for core skills give ranks to core skills and fire ball now burns as well. can you try running fire ball as an enchantment for the burn and the massive AOE damage that you receive from the explosion. between fireball and the hydra that pop from fractured winterglass everything should be burning .
Yea, thats the BIG question is why do I I spawn familiars off of spawed frozen orbs when I dont spawn Hydras off of spawned frozen orbs, only frozen orbs that are CAST. Its a bug.

They do not need to make more Paragon boards yet. They need to give us enough points to be able to fill up all blue and yellow and legendary nodes first.
actually the numbers during progression is really low. The difference between IP200 and IP600 is only 1.5% of the stat now (e.g. 2% crit vs 3.5% crit, etc.)
Thank you for testing and working on it. But honestly? The same build all over again? It is with some tweaks to it the best build for 3 seasons and literally 6-8 month now. More or less. I still think Sorc doesn't have valid endgame build variety, nor build variety overall, we have the same builds since 3-4 seasons basically alternating between each other. Where is a usable Arc Lash Build? Where is a new usable Ball Lightning build? Where are usable ultimate builds for each ultimate? Why don't we have a wind element or shadow element for the class? Why have meteor builds died so fast? Why is there still no real hydra build? I would already be happy if Arc Lash or Ball Lightning would be working again and not just somewhere behind but on the same level like frozen or chain lightning. Currently we have the same situation like at the beginning, at first we all had defense skills, now we all need to have enchantements. Just because you switch the color on your wall doesn't make it a different wall overall. Sure it helps for the moment, but if there is a hole in wall and you don't fix it, well it will keep on raining into your room. That is basically where Sorc and many others classes are at the moment.
Josh mentioned that conjuration mastery is nigh impossible to compete with when looking at Sorc as a whole, even with the new cap, even if you don’t have fractured winterglass, the passive is still practically mandatory. Add in multiple ways to activate the unique and boom, any build that wants to push itself to the highest possible point will at least to some degree involve winterglass. You can’t fix this though because the only way to fix it, quite literally bricks the unique. Meteor fell off in season 4 and 5 because of the tempering for it. Meteor size simply doesn’t compete with chance to cast twice on just about every other damaging ability. Add in that you have to give up the option for arguably one of (if not THE) the most influential mythics in the game (not to mention the new mythic helm) in order for the build to even funtion and you get a slower, weaker, more gear dependent fireball build. Hydra has a build, but it will need a unique for the skill to be even close to competitive because hydras peak Dps is split between crit and dot, which makes gearing for it a nightmare because either way you go your losing damage until you have the exact perfect split. Also once you have that exact perfect split the damage still isn’t even really competitive outside of single target situations. Wind element and shadow are tied to other classes because it fits the aesthetic and identity of those classes more. Ultimate builds don’t exist for Sorc and most likely won’t exist until a new one is added because the Ults for Sorc aren’t designed to be the main source of damage. Ball lightning does fine with Andariel’s visage or Shako (like most things) it’s just boring and doesn’t compete with other builds in terms of one way or another. It has garbage aoe so it’s terrible for hordes until you can get teleport to a 1-2 second CD and while its single target is still good, everything you need to make ball lightning strong is also there for lightning spear which is just significantly better. Arc lash- See ball lightning.
@@sephirian688 To be fair, there have been a lot of theoretical questions pointing out that season 6 offers us absolutely nothing new and that all other builds are unable to compete and function properly to do so. Also like wind and shadow/arcane or whatever could give even more variety and also a chance for build variety and synergy. Why either things more or less doesn't work, thats pretty obvious. What seems not to be obvious it how we can fix that. In my opinion it can only be fixed by adding new skills and synergies plus tempers and uniques for that which are not already dead before they start to roll.

Winterglass frozen orbs should not work for the rune for sure because Blizzard defines a cast as the player pushing a button on their action bars. This is even one of the loading screen tooltips.
Why do you so very often make no sense what so ever ? Decrepify after 5 crits to vulnerable enermies and a massive buff to all your excrements with shout every time u travel a bit. It is literally unbeatable.
I dont like this. All the builds require an ice sowrd familiar stack conjurations. Respectfully thats not good if every build needs to do the same thing. This is dog shit.
I realize I might be in the minority here but I honestly think conjurations should be capped at 10 stacks not 30. Assuming you can actually get to 30 stacks, that 1 passive is giving anywhere between a 180 to 300% GLOBAL damage boost. I would challenge anyone to find a passive on any class at any rank that provides that much of a boost to overall damage. Fractured Winterglass gives way too many ranks to Conjuration Mastery even without the GA. I know it has been said that not having a cap on conjuration mastery will just lead to everyone playing LS, but i dont think this is far off. Every build still needs to run Conjurations and Feactured Winterglass to do good damage, except maybe Ice Spikes in specific situations. Personally i would like to see them cap the stacks at 10, which would still be 100% damage at 10 skill ranks, or make the damage bonus only affect Conjurations like Inner Flames only affects Pyromancy skills.
@@codyschlenker6821 I'm not...I'm partial to Meteor this season. I'm just saying that despite Sorcs being in a really good spot, conjuration mastery isn't really used to make conjurations better, except for LS. It's used to act as a damage boost for whatever core or mastery skill you want to use. That's why I think it's too strong. It's too non-specific to justify that large of an increase. Pretty much any build automatically becomes better by adding Fractured Winterglass and some conjurations, even if you can only get 10 or so. I don't think that's balanced nor good build design.
Last time the sorc won the PTR, it was nerfed so much it was unplayable.

Why do you so very often make no sense what so ever ? Decrepify after 5 crits to vulnerable enermies and a massive buff to all your excrements with shout every time u travel a bit. It is literally unbeatable.

I dont like this. All the builds require an ice sowrd familiar stack conjurations. Respectfully thats not good if every build needs to do the same thing. This is dog shit.
I realize I might be in the minority here but I honestly think conjurations should be capped at 10 stacks not 30. Assuming you can actually get to 30 stacks, that 1 passive is giving anywhere between a 180 to 300% GLOBAL damage boost. I would challenge anyone to find a passive on any class at any rank that provides that much of a boost to overall damage. Fractured Winterglass gives way too many ranks to Conjuration Mastery even without the GA. I know it has been said that not having a cap on conjuration mastery will just lead to everyone playing LS, but i dont think this is far off. Every build still needs to run Conjurations and Feactured Winterglass to do good damage, except maybe Ice Spikes in specific situations. Personally i would like to see them cap the stacks at 10, which would still be 100% damage at 10 skill ranks, or make the damage bonus only affect Conjurations like Inner Flames only affects Pyromancy skills.

@@codyschlenker6821 I'm not...I'm partial to Meteor this season. I'm just saying that despite Sorcs being in a really good spot, conjuration mastery isn't really used to make conjurations better, except for LS. It's used to act as a damage boost for whatever core or mastery skill you want to use. That's why I think it's too strong. It's too non-specific to justify that large of an increase. Pretty much any build automatically becomes better by adding Fractured Winterglass and some conjurations, even if you can only get 10 or so. I don't think that's balanced nor good build design.
