- Here are soldiers from the 2nd Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade attack Russian positions under fire cover. The video we’re about to see shows one of the stages of the assault. The skirmish ended with 13 Russians killed, and 25 unfit for combat.

Totally agree, the US has basically done a hard reset of their military and made it more smooth and professional as you said. They introduced squads and squad leaders and gave them reliable equipment. I bet knowing that your equipment is better than the enemies' boosts their morale so much.
They need to be more careful when shooting behind each other.

im pretty sure thats a shooting maneuver they were doing. i see it a lot in videos when theyre clearing corners. a guy hops out high supressing. then a guy comes in low around his waistline and starts supressing.

I was thinking the same. An easy shot over that bit of ground where the trench snakes around the tree. A Carl Gustav would be handy
RPG has minimal distance 15 meters to arm explosive part. It's too close to use and you can't aim it down to the door from the distance.

7:56.. this trench operation was featured in an earlier video, the body of a Ukrainian defender lies in the trench segment leading up to top left of screen, the fighting was obviously at really close quarters and seriously intense.
Yea saw the body to. It definitely was the same day they came back. I hope they recovered his body but I'm sure they did.

The Russian 72nd Battalion got murdered! They were told to go on Offensive, and they had people behind them, and were told that anyone who turned back would be shot. The 72nd charged, but fell under heavy Ukrainian fire, but couldn’t turn back or be killed, 1 of the 10- 72nd Battalion members that surrendered to Ukraine said.

It’s simple. The Ukrainian soldiers will not kill you if this soldiers give up or turn the weapons against those who really threaten them. No Ukrainian forced them to fight.

In a properly designed bunker a grenade toss into the entrance has minimal effect because there will be 1 or 2 L-shaped turns to protect occupants from gunfire and grenades directed at that opening.
I'm surprised there was not another exit/entrance.
@@geoff4383 There was and and the end of that video (not played here) shows them emerging and escaping out back.But presumably the bunker had slits for them to check other directions.

Please watch @2:28 and see how close the Ukrainian soldier was to getting a burst through his femoral artery by friendly fire. I have seen this clip repeatedly used in videos and it stresses me out each time. The man is very lucky to be alive. He probably would have bled out in a minute
Having used gopros for a couple of years I can attest that while it may seem very close, it is further away in real life. It's the field of vision of the camera that makes it seem close if you get what I mean. However I have to agree it's sketchy, I've seen lots of videos like this one that makes me uneasy.

That commander may be brave and all but he is a soldier's worst nightmare! He micromanages and insists they do everything he says then yells when they don't use their initiative! A good commander gives the mission then only intervenes when things go tits up!
