FYI, you can get KMR in powdered form so you can make up small batches as needed. When my daughter got her first hamster, Bijou, she was just a baby herself. We did not know she was pregnant. She gave birth to 9 babies. She was scared and confused and clearly had no idea how to deal with them. After she ate five of the babies (gross and upsetting, but not uncommon), we knew we had to try to save the last four. We used KMR which we fed using a small, soft artists paintbrush, and the babies suckled off the bristles. We did our best and in the end only one survived and he was so special; he really thought we were his mamas and was cuddly, playful and even gave us kisses. Only one out of nine, but we called it a success! Named him Bruiser and thus began the tradition of giving all of our hamsters "B" names.

Thank you for rescuing these precious bun buns. Just a thought but Mummy Bunny might benefit from some supplemental feeding of critical care. Eight babies to now feed will take it out of her. It's so funny. My vet wouldn't spay my female rabbit but she did neuter the male. Tinsley is such a good momma. So great she accepted the other babies ❤
Spaying a female rabbit is much more invasive and the risk is very high compared to a dog or cat spay. Your vet may have lacked the practice of an exotic spay and didn’t want to risk it. Plus, as long as the male is neutered, there is no risk of pregnancy anyway.

This is exactly what I went through. All 3 bunnies that I caught were pregnant. I have a few suggestions. Instead of hand feeding the babies, hold the mother and put the baby to the moms belly to drink unless the rabbit is too skittish. Also the babies will squeeze through the bars so what I did is I put carboard along the bottom edges of the pens so they dont escape. I am sure you know this but just incase I wanted to share. Very sweet. Good job to rescue them all and momma. She waited to give birth to have a safe place to give birth. I had 4 litters. All were adopted into a good home. Momma feeds them once a day, the milk keeps the babies feeded for 24hrs. She feeding them at dawn or dusk and stays away from her nest to not drawn attention to her nest (like wild rabbits do). Babies bellies are round it means, they are well feed. You can touch the babies as momma wont dismiss them, human smells are everywhere also is important to check if all babies are healthy and none is dead even though momma would remove it or eat it. They will been able to walk and open their eyes within a week and a little over that starting to eat more soild food as well. They growing very fast. 😊
Ever since I moved to where I live now. I had a friend and she and her family had 3 rabbits. 2 females, and 1 male. Almost every year they got baby bunnies. Right now they only got one male they had since 2022 named Sushi. They only have Sushi now since Sushi's father had died before and then later on his mother died because of the cold or something like that. And what I have learned from them when they had baby bunnies was that when you are gonna touch the babies. take some fur from the mother that's laying in the nest where the babies are and take the mothers scent on your hands, because the mothers can kill their own babies if she feels another scent on the babies. That's what I have learned from my best friend's family.
Not sure if this is already part of your procedure. I use the unscented kitty litter pads in bottom of my bunny litter box with parchment paper over the pad and a paper towel over parchment paper the mat. The paper towel keeps urine in one place, parchment allows it to absorb slowly in to padding. Pad keeps out odor. Since bunny droppings don’t have much of an odor it helps a lot. I also put three-layers of this with parchment in between, on top of each other so that I just have to lift off a layer with its mat and litter box is done. I have had several people come in my home shocked that I had a bunny because you can’t smell it at all. I also use a mixer of dawn and vinegar with a little water to wash their mats, litter box, toys and dishes.
For future, if you ever have little animals to feed milk replacer and it is a larger amount than you need or will use before it expires, get an ice cube tray and freeze it in portions that way you get a much longer shelf life out of your milk replacer and have far less waste.
You 100% should have moved the bunny when you noticed it out in the open. If they get cold they will not make it. You do not need to supplement them. They only eat 1-2 times a day. Never intervene with feeding unless they are skinny.
When they start to move around more they will fit through the bars of lots of pens like that. We had to use flexi glass around pen and put it up high as they can JUMP
It is normal for a bunny mum to just feed there babys twice per 24 hours and they need to be left alone and do their thing...and yes it seems like they dont care but i promise that they do 💕

I really miss my other rabbits especially one she was all I had of another rabbit. She was also my emotional support animal. I love seeing baby rabbits
Hey Austin! Another Amazing video. (did i jinx the title or what XD) Everyone is lucky you were able to rescue the bunnies! I know you might be a bit stressed because of the babies but We all know you can do it! Hope all is well in the pig room! Have a great rest of your day!
It's called stimulating by the way it helps them learn how to pee and poo that why you use a wet compress because the mother would do it to help them ❤and your doing an amazing job ❤️
One of my guinea pigs keeps climbing under the liners, she looks for a corner and then will dig with her front paws so she can get under. Does anyone have a solution?
Question as I don’t own bunnies, but does Sonya have to be done lactating to get spayed or can she get spayed right away ? So awesome that Tinsley is a great foster mom!! And the hai pulling is so interesting to see!
That would be preferred. You have to remember that the uterus produces the hormones necessary to trigger lactation in the body. Removing that organ removes the hormones it produces. In other animals phantom pregnancy and lactation can occur after a spay but by the same reason, hormone disruption.
I hope the other girls didn't have babies before you got them.🥺 It shows how safe and comfy they were to have their babes though & I'm sure they are so relieved to know they will be safe & taken care of. Thanks for rescuing all these sweet babies! 🥰
There is a chance this was the case. If Bethenny was lactating there could have been babies somewhere on the property or streets they were roaming 😞 There is really no way to know for sure
I have two male rabbits. they were both bought a month apart and shared a habitat. They have been going through hormonal changes and are about a year old. They spray the walls with pee and I am constantly cleaning after them. I need help!! Can you help me?? ❤
My bunny once went through a false pregnancy. She pulled out all the hair on her back until she had a big bald spot. I knew what was going on but my mom was freaking out over it
is it different from regular powdered goat milk? do they add stuff to it? i feed tons of stray cats too, and they need all the nutrition they can get...
@@michellegordon4211 no it's the same thing you just add water per direction. I even fed it to pregnant cats. You can get it at walmart in the cat area, a farm store and amazon.
They need a proper nestbox. Also be careful with the open top enclosures. A lot of rabbits will easily jump or climb those. Sometimes it takes mom and day or two to start feeding. Just use powered goat milk if you have to hand feed. (And being as you combined the litters, you may be continuing to supplement)
Wow so many buns and babies. I'd never seen a new born bunny so nice to see what they looked like. I can't wait for the updates to see them grow. I think people just get a pet and don't look into how to care for them. I wish pet stores would make sure people know how to care for the animals before selling but then they just want to make money so they won't. They should be in it for the care of animals but unfortunately since its a business to make money and not care about the animals. The spotted baby is so cute can't wait to see what it looks like when its older.
I would also be interested to see how the bonding of violet goes cause I have a rabbit and I have always heard that they are solitary animals but then I’ve also heard people doing bonding so I’m confused

I’m happy to see baby rabbits I always wanted my rabbits to have baby’s but they never did sadly a few weeks ago all my rabbits died only one survived and I’m not planning on getting anymore becuase my rabbits always die so the rabbit I still have is going to be my last one for a while.
@@Ominester thank you for the information 😊
Can't wait for updates!!
LOOL sonya was prioritizing her =self first
I hope the other girls didn't have babies before you got them.🥺 It shows how safe and comfy they were to have their babes though & I'm sure they are so relieved to know they will be safe & taken care of.
I knew what was going on but my mom was freaking out over it
I saw your insta story, so sad one of the babies passed. But still 7 are alive! Hopefully the remaining ones make it to adulthood
What milk where you feeding the kittens
Yes I know there not cats. Bunny is actually another name for a young rabbit
@@Caitlintidy-t5q They are Kits
They make kme in powder form. I usually have extra because I live in an area with alot of stray cats and kittens.
is it different from regular powdered goat milk? do they add stuff to it? i feed tons of stray cats too, and they need all the nutrition they can get...
@@michellegordon4211 no it's the same thing you just add water per direction. I even fed it to pregnant cats. You can get it at walmart in the cat area, a farm store and amazon.
great, thanks.@@SRHMorbid
You can probably freeze small portions of that milk and take it out as needed
Lol Eva is SOOO good at sweeping
😂😂😂 it’s a running joke now that I tell her!
Aww they’re so precious❤😭🥺
I know this is 3 weeks ago but you can also freeze goat milk in ice cube trays and that a few at a time so you don't have to throw any away.
Oh forgot to ask if you posted the video letting us know which one you were going to be keeping
Thanks for doing this! You are so helpful and kinda😊
what’s that tiktok sound ? “ i juss a baby “ 🥺 literally so precious
i’m invested.. and in love with bunnies
Hi, do you have any current videos of Tinselys' 8 babies?
you can freeze the kmr, it is available in powder, but I prefer this one, it's creamier
I think that KMR stuff you can find at Walmart if you have one of those around, I've also seen it at Target.
I would also be interested to see how the bonding of violet goes cause I have a rabbit and I have always heard that they are solitary animals but then I’ve also heard people doing bonding so I’m confused
