My buddy just bought this and he´s ecstatic. If and when they include DAW control they include all that DCA flexibility into it I´m sold. I imagine controlling 3rd party plugins from the main section could be accomplished. For an ITB studio could be great, handling DAW control and being a luxury as a monitoring platform. Great product.
For the record, my 5c regarding digital equipment for 'old timer' analog guys: Don't get sucked in with all the shiny lights and moving faders. Presonus will drop support on this the second some new interface comes out. Currently, USB is all the rage, but sucks for anyone using their old Firewire interfaces, basically expensive doorstops now. At best you'll have 5 years before you'll need to buy whatever the latest whiz-bang device is, you'll understand this if you own an iPhone.
How many pages of faders this console supports as a control surface for S1? If Im using 150+ tracks on S1 it would be possible to have those tracks on multiple fader pages? Do these converters handle 192k?
How do I connect my iPad to control this desk . I have UC surface on my MacBook and iPad ... do I need to have a Wifi router connected to the mixer in order to make the connection , or could I create an adhoc from my MacBook and connect that way ? I have searched for videos on this with no luck
Hello , I currently have presonus 192 and digi8 with studio one 3. Looking to upgrade to this unit and wondering if this will do everything in terms of recording and mixing as what I currently have?
Same here, no really support for dummies or beginners. When I get frustrated enough, I will send it back for a refund or ex change for just interfaces, before return policy expires.
It would be great if it came with a Thunderbolt 3 audio interface. I say Thunderbolt 3 and not V1 or V2 because most Windows PC that support Thunderbolt come with the USB Type-C connector. Why Thunderbolt? Well I know the DSP on this is great but with CPUs becoming more powerful today, instead of a choice of 3 or 4 EQs or Compressors built in, one could use all the plugins you have accumulated over the years on your DAW since Thunderbolt offers ultra low latencies compared to USB or Firewire.

Yup, pisses me off too. Why these guys just can't make a product and stick by it for good is beyond me.

Ace is THE man
I'm planning out my studio build, what desk do you have it installed in for these videos?
Does it control DAW (Studio One) too?
Yup... I dumped ProTools
I think this might change the affordable digital console market. I'm my opinion, the X32 will have big competition.

Hey Guys, what desk (Argosy, Omnirax, Malone etc) is that StudioLive in. I've been hunting a desk down for days now & can't find one
do you ship to Ghana ?
Can you do cycle recording with this or is it mainly for recording bands?
Can i make this as my controller for logic pro x sir?
What workstation desk is that Presonus in?
Will the production units have real fader knobs like the ones in this vid? Or will it have the silly Presonus knobs?
Is Ace the same Ace from the 9/11 "no Planes" videos???
No.
5.1 surround monitoring?
MMMMM-HHHHHM. Cue the neck roll and the finger wag.
Just got mine in. Have no clue what to do next; downloading stuff & watching youtube stuff.

3 party plugin controll?
Ace Spicoli is so cool.

Mmmmmm hmmm YEP! lol
Annoying how slow the mixer is to react. Presonus skimped on the available DSP/CPU/GPU power eh?
This board is AVB IEEE standard the board you're talking about IS NOT THIS ONE.
Nice mixer...but like 6 years late...presonus you gotta step it up a bit... But really cool mixer
