Speaking of laughter ruining a take, Laurel and Hardy's silent film "Leave 'em Laughing" had The Boys inhaling laughing gas. Their faked laughter became so contagious with the crew that they had to stop filming for the day, and try again later. Laughter is a gift from God, all right!
