Im a relativly new fan, I started listening to DGD back in like july or August of last year, so this is like the first brand new full album that I get to experience with all the other fans and it feels so good. So far every song on this album sounds amazing and im so hyped for the rest of the album, got it preordered!
Feels like this song is talking about clout chasers and those "inspirational" entrepreneurs who make you feel worthless for just having a regular job. I think it also hits on those people who make posts and videos with their big houses and fancy cars and then saying they're not trying to flex but "look what I did" but in actuality it's all stuff they rented for a day to look rich. Or they make up fantastic stories about what they did but none of its real. 'Sometimes, lyrics lie.'
We've fostered a culture of appearance before achievement; The (fake) "story" of your struggle matters more (in regards to content creation) than what you actually achieve. This is spot on. It hurts those who are actually out there creating and trying to be true without bloating our story, but if we don't accentuate our story to be a Michael Bay-esque drama we get forgotten/left behind.

They let their skill "get to their head" and look down on everyone who's trying to learn. I especially get this from the part where he sings, "Sorry didn’t mean to flex . Just sit back down and learn from the best." That's the exact mindset of someone who loves to show off.
