Yeh how does he not remember that a Clunk is different from a Snow, which is like a Sack but isn’t Teeth, and when you use a Tomato it’s good when you Yank but not when you Consume cards… it’s so obvious
Really like the Shadesmancer tribe. You can go sacrifice, overburn, or mass summons with teeth. There is also cheesy bullshit like crowning the soulbound skulls and a summon to instakill an enemy at the start of battle. Very enjoyable playstyles.
oh my god. i really hate the design of soulbound skulls since the only way you can use it without risking an instant loss is by cheesing it, but oh well. gonna deploy the strat anyways lmfao
@@Hel1mutt Gnomes are by far the most consistent and strongest clan. Ink is the best status effect in the game and they also have both the strongest units and the strongest setup cards.

Watching him completely disregard what is the most obvious move at every turn during that fight infuriated me beyond comprehension, but it was also incredibly funny
NL built the unkillable team of murder death! I feel like you can only beat them with a team designed specifically to deal with high health thorns enemies
I think that if he just took a moment in earlier shops and said "I know I'm going to eventually want a Yank card", that it would be a lot easier. I don't know if it'd be enough to change the outcome just on that alone, but I think it would make the issues a lot clearer.
Damn, that end was winnable, but that overburn barrage smackback with thorns is incredibly hard to figure out. The double Chikichi explosion was goated. Luckily I think when he beats it, the next one won't be nearly as hard to deal with
Yeah, it's pretty funny that your first win is with a really strong team that seems impossible to beat but afterwards, as you become better, your heroes are easier to defeat. I think is a great mechanic that keeps the game interesting
Simply recalling booshu already means he is almost guaranteed to win here lol. He doesn't need to construct specific builds, he is already on the right track with his decks. He just needs to take some more time which isn't likely to happen with his style as a content creator.
Booshu recall gets him out of that turn but his overall position is still pretty bad. The style of deck he's on is decent to beating that boss but it's a very slow, very grindy pivot that's hard to make - essentially you're needing to time all of your boss damage on your snow unit's turns while using summons to soak the boss's attacks. From a fast-paced Groff Chiki deck that's not an easy pivot. The easy answer to that boss is that he gets crushed by ink but Clunk builds are awkward until you're used to them and if he can't line Ink up Clunk can be pretty fragile to what the boss is doing.
He had 3 sources of frost( from hero and 2 blizzard bottles) and his hero is never in danger of smackback because of his own snow. Considering he threw away 5 units for pretty much no reason im pretty sure he couldve either made a big chik and kept rerolling for winter bottles or kept summoning garbage to keep himself safe and he wouldve been fine if he wasnt short on time and had to hurry his plays.
im pretty sure over burn is a counter to nut cause overburn kills you as long as just your health reaches the same amount. So if you have 16 nut but 2 health and overburn 2 is applied, you die. I think thats how it works
@kumayl kuvawala It is not. The 2 overburn will trigger immediately but it'll only deal 2 damage to the nut, leaving plenty more. Granted it'd still hit the rest of the row for 2.
That Wildmaw fight was right on the edge of victory. He had a noomlin yank on the turn he killed the first smog, so he could yank the Marrow and fizzle and Nom's attack would have killed it. He would probably still have a lot of injured units and it would probably be hell for the next fight. Not drawing the Bink was also super sad.
I like having the same newbie experiences. I'm sure there are situations where inking Moko is a good idea but i found out the hard way that he is stated in his health department to anticipate your team being chili peppered up by him. Removing his buff to everyone usually means you have to hack through a meat wall that is hard at that stage of the game. Grats to NL for making it work anyways
I see NL has discovered my favorite build. The beautiful marriage of "Why would I attack the enemies when I can have them do that for me?" and "Good luck hitting me, I'm hiding behind seven ̶p̶r̶o̶x̶i̶e̶s̶ Junjuns."
The beautiful thing is how easy it is. The defensive half of the build is unlocked with basically any non-exhausting mask, so three or four cards, and then you have at least three ways to go off with thorns on your summons too, most of which are already good for the summon archetype.
Can you imagine playing for an army of monkeys, 90% of the monkeys are mad and screaming, but only 15% of the monkeys even understand what you're doing wrong? Emotes only would be great for this game.
I never thought I would beat my first team to win as their enemy evolved form was insane. After a few runs I finally put together a team that did it! This game is super fun and has a lot of variation so far! Also NL looks stoned in his thumbnail I thought it was a library video at first
The chess analogy he gives is great because watching him play this is like watching a chess beginner repeatedly hang his queen. I understand his frustration with chat but it is phenomenal how many wins he would have if he just read the numbers on the screen. I guess as long as he's having fun it doesn't matter
Bro don’t you think there’s something that happens between looking at the numbers and making your play? And reading chat and carrying a dialogue probably has some effect on whatever that thing is?
Since you said "I actually just don't know like what I could've done" about the thing at 1:15:50, figured I'd just put my two cents on "what you could've done", which the action you did was fine, just swap booshu and your leader around, so when booshu is smackback'd, only they die and you keep the rest. I can't say I'd know what to do after that to win, since you did win that last run with such a god run, it's kinda hard to get around without ink.
