I have the exactly the same issues. Cleaned the carb, followed your instructions on the leaky fuel tap (worked a treat). She will start after a few mins of fighting but struggles to idle. When she does idle, she will loose all power after a few hundred yards 🤔

Does 87 gas work good for the di blasi?

It’s a 2 cycle engine. As long as you have the oil mix correct then yes.
