- In this video I explain how to control all the properties of a radial array in Revit. These properties: 1) # of Items in Array (N), 2) Angle of Aperture (A), 3) Radius of Array (R), 4) Type of Item, 5) Offset from Host, 6) Rotation or Starting Point of Array, 7) Spacing, 8) Arc Length, 9) Chord, and 10) Center.

Excellent video, very comprehensive!
Thank you for this video, it is outstanding. This is the first tutorial I've seen that really addresses all aspects of dynamic radial arrays in Revit.
Thanks. It might be the only video that covers how to control all the aspects of radial arrays in Revit.
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Hi, thank you for the video !
I don't know if you could help me :
I need to place a family of void holes in cercle array in an other family, in order to cut a steel plate. My problem is to control the start angle.
When I change the work plane to select the reference line (and be able to control the start angle), the holes don't cut the steel plate anymore.
To be able to cut the plate with the nested holes family, I needed to use "Generic Model Face Based" template, so I don't have all the options in the category family ; could it be the reason ?
I'm also stuck in R2020 for this family, maybe this is also a problem ?
Thank you! Have a nice day!
Hi, I recommend to post the question in the Revit Architecture forum: forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/bd-p/133
Too good and too complicated!
I am glad to see that you liked it (I assume). About being complicated, well, that's what we have. I wish this could be done in fewer steps, but this is what we can do now with the software.
