I was there that night and was my first Billy Strings concert. And BY FAR was the best concert I've every been too in my whole life. That was a hell of a show. The videos don't do it justice. Was definitely the first of what will be very many.
Billy Strings is why he saved my desire to listen to "blue grass music". He is Mr. Blue Grass picking fool. This man has no equal. He takes any music: rock, blues, classical, pop and puts his touch into it! He is fabulous!

Amazing watching all these concerts. Saw Billy Strings for the first time in July. I had listened to him quite a bit. My wife knew who he was but wasn’t familiar. About the third song in, she just said “holy fuck”.
Banjo used to be my least favorite aspect of bluegrass. Billy Winning really won me over when I saw them in Minneapolis. Plus he’s just a phenomenal singer. I left that venue amazed at his talent and performance that night

Opening night set at the Orion was fire start to finish. Made me wonder how they had anything left in the tank for night two. Y’all that were there know how that turned out. Thanks Billy for the early Christmas present video.
Thank you so much for uploading these videos, this is the best Christmas present ever! The only thing that could make this better is if these recordings were made available on Spotify.
Those guys are playing music on such a high level they have completely outrun my ability to even understand it. But I still understand that I am looking at genius.
3 adds in 20 minutes. Ugh. Wish I could afford to by-pass annoying adds that wreck the joy of listening to the jams. Love Billy! Sure wish he would come back to Wisconsin to play.
Then you should stay home and play Billy's studio catalog. Live is for taking chances...that is the the point....that neither we nor the band know exactly where it will wind up. Part of what makes BS special is that it is not all traditional bluegrass 3 min songs.....they are a jam band/jamgrass band that takes chances....sometimes it works well, and sometimes it is incredible, but not knowing what to expect is one thing that makes it special and keeps us coming back night after night and tour after tour.

Pissed I missed Saturday when he brought out leftover salmon but this show was still the best I’ve ever seen from him
If you look closely you can see me levitating in the pit from pure euphoria - best show I’ve ever been to.
Hitting 'like' with confidence before even listing to the concert! A real star! 👏👏👏🤗

Billy and his band are "String" masters...beautiful!
I was lucky enough to end up with Billy’s strings after this show. It was an incredible night…one I won’t soon forget.
What’s the story behind that? That’s awesome.
His guitar tech is generally nice enough to toss some out to fans at the end of the show. @@cr250r9

3? You got off lucky! I got at least double that in the first half but they seemed to be fewer after…
JAM SESSION WITH STEVE MARTIN?
1hour gang
only thing im not crazy about is when they drag a song out with random playing for long periods of time sorry just thought i would let you know
that’s half the point of the live show lol
also, it’s not really random. They build tension and release it at perfect moments.

You are truly missing the point of a live show.
@@hoppy0720 im just saying i would rather hear 10 songs than one song with 30 minutes of jamming
