I have the model 5000 Aquasurge. We finished the 2nd season with it this month, and I wanted to clean the impeller. But after removing the 4 screws, the impeller assembly remains stubbornly stuck. Is it permissible to pry carefully with a couple of screwdrivers to extract the plastic plate the impeller is mounted on? I was afraid to try for fear of damaging the pump. The impeller definitely does not slide out without effort, as shown in this video. Otherwise the pump has been running beautifully with no issues.
Any videos how to take pump off? Son just purchased a house and it came with a very neglected koi pond trying to get the pump to work. Any help greatly appreciated 😊
I have an Aquascape SFA 3000 pump. After a recent storm, which included a power outage, the pump will only hum when connected to good power (confirmed over multiple outlets). I used my drill to "kickstart" the impeller, and once the impeller is spinning, the pump can stay running... but if it loses power again, it cannot start itself without requiring an impeller kick start. Does this mean the internal capacitor is broken? This is frustrating for a pump that's barely out of warranty (2.5 years old)
I have an EasyPro pond pump TH400 that immediately trips the Ground Fault. The blade spins freely so nothing is jammed. Any recommendations on where / how to begin troubleshooting.
Smart control app is saying there is a pump error [SLD] - Input voltage too high. I’m not sure what this means. The pump has been running at its lowest speed since it was installed a few days to a week ago is this something to be concerned about?
That error message can mean two things. If the outlet that you have the pump plugged into is putting out voltage that is out of line, you'll get that error. Most outlets are 120 volts. If the outlet is either lower than 90V or higher than 140V you’ll get that message because that will damage the pump. If the voltage is within that range, then there has been damage to the voltage sensing chip in the receiver (could have been from a power surge) and the receiver should be replaced.
