  • Co-created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, IFC’s Documentary Now! is known for lovingly paying homage to the world of documentaries. Honoring beloved films like Grey Gardens, The Thin Blue Line and Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Documentary Now! has quickly become a favorite within the documentary community and has helped to expose a broader audience to the classic works that inspire its episodes.
DOC NYC is excited to present the world premiere of Original Cast Album: Co-op, an episode from the series’ upcoming third season, followed by a conversation with creators Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas, director Alex Buono, writer and star John Mulaney and star Renee Elise Goldsberry.

Looking around and I didn't see Fred or Bill on the panel and i thought to myself “should i even watch this?” then I saw John and Seth and I'm ready to press play.

Same. I’ve seen all the panels so much bc they’re like mini comedy shows with some of the funniest groups of people we have

I’ve made so many people watch Company just so they can watch this episode of docnow (the OG film is incredible -I cry every time and he does it in a tight 55 minutes)

It's great to revisit this, as it was a packed house when watching this debut at DocNYC 🙂

...GLAD THE PENNEBAKER'S WERE MENTIONED RE: COMPANY (DOCUMENTARY). The full length film, i.m.o., is a bit "harrowing"....and not just the Elaine Stritch "high drama".
