    WOW, great video I had already quickly seen a training system on the counterweight, this is very practical because no more space is needed at the top of the shaft or at the bottom and in addition a Ziehl-Abegg motor.
    For once I like an MRL lift, thank you for this video ;D

      Yea, it's really an interesting and innovative concept. I first thought I encountered a normal set of lifts here but then I opened the shaft, got on top and was confused to not find any motor in the shaft head, nor did the ropes go through the holes in the ceiling. Then while going down I realized that the motor was on the counterweight and that I finally found one of these lifts for which I have been looking for for a long time.
      I'm glad you like the video!

      A MRL like Kone with cables attaching to the bottom of cabin would also allow for no need of space at the top.

      @@Txepetxcc indeed but having the engine at the bottom of the shaft in case of flooding the engine is ruined.

    That's so interesting hopefully I will come across something like this

      I know of many special lift drive concepts in Germany but I have no Idea if something like this also exists in the UK.

      @@lbuuk8139 I tend to say that there's just no creative thinking going on in the UK lift business. In Germany however you will find lots of creative and new solutions, like the Osma belt drive MRLs just to name another example.

    U haven’t shown buffer springs as cable was travelling from counter rails how can the buffer springs were kept on counter side.., any one let me know

    • @TheLiftDragon
      @TheLiftDragon  ปีที่แล้ว

      The buffer is kept on the right side of the big counterweight and on the right side of the small counterweight, directly underneath the ropes. Where the grey painted metal plate is, so that it doesn't interfere with the travelling cable.

    This is a COMPLETLY new thing for me, these have the motor on the counter weight, these are great! 😮 Also, will this be considered an MRL. Also why did they put it on the counter weight, I mean it’s cool, but manufacturers don’t like “cool” things, they want some thing economically efficient, also I imagine the maintenance worker having a hard time fixing the lift. 😅

    • @Avidiy
      @Avidiy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also suppling power to the motor is a whole other “problem”

    • @TheLiftDragon
      @TheLiftDragon  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you know where to look, you will indeed find interesting things in the lift world that you might not have deemed possible. This here was one of them to me. Maintenance on these lifts is done by the company who manufactured them, Diethelm. As I've already mentioned on the other video, they make really interesting innovative stuff. As long as there is no fault on the motor or the drive, maintenance should not be an issue. Also regarding power: There simply is a hanging cable underneath the counterweight, just as with the lift car. You can see it in the video.
