Yes, Jerven is really a nice guy, I send my non-Brompton for BB upgrade. He did a very good job. After that, my bike cycling experience elevated. I already plan to get a P line this line and probably upgrade the BB from Jerven again.

Good video but i hope Jerven reads this: I appreciate the mods he helps to make for the sg brompton community. But the prices in his store are obscene and in no way reflects market reality. I hope he takes the feedback.

My experience with 16b was very good. Javern is very meticulous with his work. You can rest assure your bike will be in good hands when it is 16B, oh its also impossible not to buy anything when you walk into that shop 😅

As a Dane we have a rocky island in the Baltic, Bornholm and during a vacation, I took my Brompton up a hill with a former lighthouse, and a serpentine road up (I had to walk at several times, even with my 6 gears)! It is also a Nature Reserve and has several cattle prevention bars over the road, before each of which I had to fully brake down from very high speeds, with my original, Brompton brakes! And in spite of some initial doubts my Brompton never let me down, but stopped fully each time from high speeds! Since then I have changed several brake parts to titanium, and still have some more brake parts to replace, for less weight.

Coloring the bike is my prime way to make the bike unique to myself. Be it just a plain color change to some air brushing art work on the frame. Have a good one on your bike.

Nice part 2 . i changed from a 3sixty directly to a custom full titanium tri fold bicycle instead . 😀 .

Hi will want to improve the ride but not spend too much. If I keep the stock cranks. There are 2 options for token BB. Steel vs ceramic. Is the ceramic worth more than double the price compared to the steel? ( $80 vs $220) thx

I am a big fan of the token BB. Personally I am not a fan of ceramic bearings. Even if the price difference were only 10%, I will still go for some solid steel options.

Many of my friends told me changing the BB would greatly elevate the riding experience. Which brand of BB would you recommend and what is the estimated cost?

Thanks for watching the video. At part 1 of the video, i mentioned the Shimano BB was a really good budget option. It was less than $30 for it. I am not a big fan of ceramic bearings, so I always try to avoid them if I had to pay more for it. There is a Token square taper BB that I rather like as well. That one goes for around $200 before installations. Have a good one mate.
