This car is ultimate sleeper i beat g35s 350s and gen 2.0t coupes wit this car i kept up with a camaro ss and gone neck and neck with a 370 it may not be the fastest car but its quick and no one expects it

      @TIcowboys 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I think this Accord could easily beat a 370 as my old 3.8 v6 Eclipse GT stayed right next to a G37. That said, I got challenged all the time in my Eclipse, but never have in either of my Accord 6-6's (2010 and 2013).. people sleep on them lol

I have the exact 2013 Honda Accord V6 Coupe MT in Modern Metal Metallic as in this video. My wife has a 2012 Accord V6 Auto Coupe as well. They are absolutely two different cars. Honda done a great job on the redesign. I did not expect such a difference. I traded in my 2009 Civic Si for this car because I wanted a little more power. This is my 6th Honda and as compared to many cars, the value at trade in does not compare. Honda's hold there value very well. I live in Houston and deal with heavy traffic. The Nav and side camera makes this car a dream to drive in the city. It also handles the twisty roads around Austin that will put a smile on your face. I have driven and owned many different cars and keep coming back to Honda. Being an Automotive Engineer for the past 30 years and working with Honda makes one appreciate their attention to detail and quality. The only other company in terms of engineering that comes close is BMW which I also support. Sorry to say Toyota plays copycat and they lack true innovation in terms of being a solid engine company. I have put many miles on my 2014 Porsche Cayman S which is driven on the weekends. The Accord provide more options than Porsche and the acceleration is so close only the true experienced driver would notice. Driving the Cayman in Houston is difficult because you simply can not see the cars behind you. The mirrors on the Cayman is a joke and Porsche could learn a lot from the Accord. The $3000 Nav system on the Cayman does not detect traffic as with the Accord. You won't go wrong in choosing this very nimble handling car. The compliments I get when I drive this car is data enough to let you know this car is noticed by others. Prior to the Porsche I drove an Audi TT RS which is a step down from the Porsche and Accord in terms of quality and reliability.

Thanks for the detailed info! I like the TT it does cost less than the Cayman but I guess you get what u pay for? Accord coupe for the win in reliabilty.

I know it's been awhile since you wrote this, but could you expand on the main differences between your 13 6MT and your wife's 12 V6 auto? I'm shopping 11-17 accord coupes and can't decide if I want manual or auto (so the wife can drive it!)

It's sad that there's not going to be an accord coupe for 2018, i understand that it dosn't sell to much but in my opinion i thinl it's the perfect coupe and here is why: it's the only coupe available in the market that u can actually fit tall folks in the back seat, 2. It has many trim levels to choose, i think the 4 cilinders is a waste but this car with the v6 and manual is damn fast, 3. It has the honda reliability that we all know, 4. It has enough luxury features for the price.

      @@xUltimatexInstinctxit's a 2016 model $25K with 24,000KM
Still night pearl, two tone interior. No mechanical issues so far but couple things I noticed:
      1. Transmission is noisey and clunky/jerky (more noticeable at cold)
      2. Engine braking around 40km is noticeable sometimes alot when engine is not optimal temperature
      3. Electronic lock in steering wheel gets loud during cold days (summer time and other days it's fine only cold days)
      4. Vcm (variable cylinder management) can be felt on gas foot pedal (you start to feel vibration) this is because at certain speeds a cylinder is being shut off
ALL of these listed above are normal nature of these, v6 accords. I've owned previous 8th gen v6 accord and it had similar characteristics including VCM

I just bought the 2013. I was kicking arround a used A5, used 335i, New Fusion with Eco-boost with AWD, and a new Honda Accord Coupe. For my life, my commute, my wants/needs the Honda was the best option. I've had it for only a few days, but it's everything you expect from a Honda: Power when you need it, economy when you want it, comfort, technology and a fair price. I opted for the automatic and in city based traffic filled commute, I'm getting 29mpg which is outstanding for nearly 280hp.

Without navigation, the Accord's MSRP is $31,140. The 320i starts at $32,550. So, if you bought the Bimmer, you'd be spending $1,410 more for a car with 100 less horsepower (180 vs. 280). The Accord is a great value.

    Top Speed: 150 MPH
    (Available in manual or auto)

this vehicle is really being overlooked by most car review magazines and shows out there.
drivers who have grown up from owning tuned subcompacts of yesterday like the 1999-2000 Civic Si, 1990-2001 Integra, 2001-2006 RSX, 1993-2012 Golf/GTI, and the list goes on, will definitely consider this car for a lot of reasons.
Watch Temple of VTEC's dyno run for this car and see if that doesn't convince you on how much potential this chassis has to offer. Honda really made a "sleeper" in this one.

Currently owning an 08' accord, and having test driven a 13' accord I can honestly say the most notable difference is the interior of the vehicle. The biggest differences to me are; the seats are 10000X more comfortable, road noise has been minimized, and aesthetics / fit and finish of the dash is night and day from the 08'.

That would actually be quite a good idea! An two-door Accord-based CL (probably now called a CLX) with the same engines from the RLX, the 3.5L DI V6 with 310hp and the 370hp hybrid motor. Add in Acura's new JewelEye headlamps and ditch the beak; you've got a winner in my books!

Just bought one in white with the HFP package. The 2-door, 6-speed, with the body kit and rims is nothing like the sedan. It looks SHARP. People saying it should be rwd dont understand its still an accord. RWD would add more cost, weight, and not to mention you would want bigger brakes, and horsepower to go a long with it which would bring the price way up. Its not your typical accord

Agreed. I just built a Mustang GT on Ford's website with the Track Package and Recaro seats for $34,785. Hell of a deal.

The Accord is built to a level of a premium car. This 9th generation could very well have an Acura badge on it. If you haven't driven one and looked over the interior you don't know. If you've driven it for several months now, you do know. If you have entry level Mercedes at $30k and the Accord EXL V6 in the same price range the car has to be decent with quality. A Ford Focus is not in the same class. Sorry!

They dropped the double-wishbone front suspension for this generation, but all the other fun stuff is still there.

It's a budget Audi A5, there is a market for it, I saw one on the road the other day, had a second look at it, found it very very attractive, not sexy hot, but very attractive.

Personally, I think the Accord coupe is a worthy substitute and/or successor to the Honda Prelude. Sporty to drive yet very refined. For me, I'd get the one with the K24, not the V6, somehow I prefer the sound of the DOHC 4-cyl over the SOHC V6.

The Accord will still be on the road years from now. The ST will be a one hit wonder and won't be produced for more than one or two gens. The big thing it doesn't have going for it..well it's a Ford.

+Luh Robert & T-Slim says who ?and with what proof ? ... every job has its tools ... on the streets (98% of consumers spend there time behind the wheel) rwd sports cars are useless ... legally driving , I only ever owned one rwd car a 88 BMW 3serious ... unless I had good road conditions i never was able to actually enjoy it to its full potential.. now old school tin can Honda's are amazing on public roads can always get a sense of enjoyment . I know I know ... but what about the track ? been there short tight corners ... it's usually easier in a fwd, rwd takes more effort (I tried) in stock forms anyways more budget rwd vehicles are not track oriented ... neither are fwd but. now I am talking about a whole other ball game ... the modding community can produce some amazing machines regardless which wheels spin .

They make the Coupe because Toyota, Mitsubishi and Nissan wussed out and gave up on the FWD V6 Coupe segment.
Oh, and yeah, the Genesis Coupe is a whole different animal all together.

There are different levels of luxury. At nearly $90,000, I'd say the 650i is ultra-luxury. If the Accord is just a coupe, what is the Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z? The Accord has a much higher quality interior. So, at the very least, it could be called "near-luxury." It really should be an Acura instead of a Honda, at this point. It's certainly nicer than the ILX.

Well, after reading a little the ECO green button on new accord is something else. We still have the VCM but I cant feel it. Whenever I punch it, he will respond quickly. Also if I put it in sport mode there is no way in hell the car will run in 3 cylinder bc this beast goes from 0-60 in about 5.5 sec for AT and 5.6 for MT. Although, if I turn on the ECO button the car feels like it has a prius engine instead of a V6
