    Clearly need to work on the colour matching, once that is sorted, (I'd probably gone with a white base and a spot of black to give the very light grey colour it looks like in the video) then I'd have used a needle to recreate the hole patterns of the original leather.

    Did your kit not come with the cloth you cut and place on the hole b4 you add the compound?

    • @tonysreviews
      @tonysreviews  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    LOL-I like the natural humor. I think your job would have improved had you placed a small piece of the cloth (included) behind the hole. Then wipe down the “lumpy” section with an alcohol swab or cloth to even it out. Color match is what it is.

    Really, you have to walk into this project expecting not to come out with a like new results.

      That’s your mindset. What’s the point, if it doesn’t conceal it?

    You would've done well if you added a piece of cloth to fill the hole. Next, I would have used the alcohol to lighten until getting close to a match. Patience grasshopper, you rushed

    Yikes!! Great video on NOT what to do... leather filler would worked or even super glue. Then a seat cover if you really wanted to hide it.

      My car has a small hole in the back seat. It happens to be leather.
      This is my first time ever approaching the idea of repairing a hole in a material like leather.
      So, I go on Amazon and look up leather repair and this Coconix kit happens to be a popular choice.
      I don’t work in upholstery or furniture repair.
      Most of my videos are me approaching these products as a complete beginner or in a lot of cases a one off moment of necessity.
      I dont care that the color didn’t match and that its looks crappy.
      I’m just some dude testing out garbage and seeing where it lands.
      But seriously, thank you for watching and commenting. Your comment will probably help someone that is looking for a genuine and possibly educated mode of repair.
      And who knows, I may even use your advice in the future on something else.
      Thanks again.
