Amalthea is actually a star called Capella in the constellation Auriga.
Capricorn is the sea-goat Pricus, hence the fish tail.

Great video mate, I had no idea that was the origin of the constellation of Capricornus. Thank you for sharing!

Hi, I can tell you an interesting fact, just to bring a little bit closer the myth with the reality... which I am sure you don't know.
The etymology of Amalthia in Albanian language: Mal=Mountain dhia/thia=goat. So she was just the goat of the mountain. You might wanna consider also changing the title "Greek mythology", but that's a big discussion ,)

In Albanian “Amel“ means sweet and “dhia“ means goat, “tamel“ means milk and “amelsia“ means sweets. Tamel(milk) sound similar with the word amel(sweet), because milk is sweet. So when Amalthea was the goat and gave Zeus milk, then maybe it comes from the Albanian t'amel-dhia!!

She died and to commemorate her, her horn was taken and her skin was worn as the Aegis by Athena gifted to her by her father Zeus.

That's interesting. I all,s ways wonder were the Capricorn beginnings. Some Nymph inhabited rivers and the goat ( nanny goats were still being used to suckled orphan babys in the 1700. ) were , so they say , we're the 1st animals that humans took milk from .now I can see why the Zodiac sign is sea/water goat. So it makes a lot of sence. Good vid.👍

She died and he wanted to keep a part of her.
The way it's said in the video is a little strange and confusing.
When Zeus was a baby, he accidentally broke on of her horns off. This caused her to be the first unicorn.
She was protective of Zeus, with a fearsome voice and a near impenetrable hide. When she died, Zeus took the horn he accidentally broke off as a babe and turned it into the Cornucopia, the horn of abundance, because she represented abundance to him. He took her pelt and bones and made it into a shield so she would continue to protect him long after she was gone. He threw what remained of her, her soul, into the heavens and stars, immortalizing her greatness, so she could always watch upon him.
