Seeing Scarlett in conan is just amazing, knowing that her very first paid acting job was in conan show back when she was a kid.
I found the clip on Conan back in 2003 where she was 18 and promoting Lost in Translation. He talks with her about it and showed a still shot. She was like 8.

Ginger women with freckles is literally my fetish, and ive known several women who use makeup to cover their freckles and dye their orange/red hair to a "normal color" out of embarrassment. It sucks society does that to anyone with ANY type of genetics. Its one thing to change how you look for personal taste, but ive often found (women especially) will go to great lengths to change themselves due to other girls mocking them, and not necessarily what their BF or their partner actually wants.

@J B did you read my comment? Thats literally the exact thing i was saying. "Its one thing to change out of personal taste.." but people will often change based on other people's opinions and not even people who care about them. Thats sad.
My first serious GF was a red/orange haired chick. Sure she dyed it but she continuously kept it up and pulled it off. I never wanted to go back after that. Since then only red heads. Natural or committed are allowed.
I never knew how much of a dad Conan is like to Scarlet, he got her first acting role, was defensive of her around Andy during her first appearance (even though it was acting), was one of the few women on his show that he didn't pretend to flirt with and here he is upset that she bleached her hair.
He didn't got her the role. Watch the 2003 interview between him and Scarlett, they talk about it and he says he had no idea that was her first gig, nor that that was her. It's obviously not his job to scout these people, the producers do. But Conan rocks anyway.

Conan was already a somewhat known commodity at this point after having been the head writer for National Lampoon and a co-writer on The Simpsons years before his gig at SNL or as a late-night host. It's easy to forget that Conan not only writes sketches, segments, and jokes, but he also approves which sketches air. This is especially true when it comes to the writing and improv.
Conan perfected the art of the late-night interview with self-deprecating humor and an ability to make any guest feel comfortable in that hot seat. While some staff members may have provided detailed background notes for a guest, it's Conan who is credited time and time again by guests as having one of the most effortless and enjoyable late-night shows to appear on. The cast, crew, and Conan always went the extra mile.
Many famous guests have praised Conan's hosting abilities. For example, Jennifer Lawrence once said, "Conan makes you feel like you're just having a chat with a friend, not on national television." Tom Hanks also noted, "Conan's show is always a highlight. He has this way of making you feel at ease, no matter how nervous you might be." Additionally, Bill Burr has praised Conan for his seamless transitions and his ability to ensure that guests' anecdotes and jokes land well, emphasizing Conan's skill in guiding interviews smoothly and making guests look good (Podtail).
It should also be noted that, just like the interview mentioned in the original comment, there are hundreds of other similar stories where Conan discusses how much of his career as a late-night host is just a blur, often due to the constant fear of being canceled. This is most commonly evident in brief conversations on "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend," where he frequently refers to many of those years as a blur (Team Coco).

it’s crazy how similar ‘on the rocks’ and ‘lost in translation’ are. it’s crazy because rashida and scarlett are very similar in a lot of ways and they both did movies with murray, that are fundamentally the same: rashida/scarlett has a unconventional relationship with bill murray, directed by sofia coppola. both movies are great, go watch them
I saw an interview with Scarlett from many years ago, and man her voice is completely different. She must've had a nose job, because that can apparently change your voice. I didn't realize how much our voices are effected by our nasal passage. Her voice is so much better now, before it was way more manly.

Jump a few years into the future from that interview, Anthony Mackie would officially become Captain America. He probably didn’t even know at that time.
Filming was practically back to back for Infinity Wars and Endgame. Mackie already knew by this interview he was taking the mantle, but couldn’t say anything. The fact Scarlett’s hair is much darker during the time of this interview says that filming already rapped up.

I think Scarlett only been on Conan 4 times ever, but all at such different ages: first in 1993, she was just a little girl, also that was her first paid gig as the top comment here suggests, then again 10 years later, in 2003 where at this point she was probably 20, a young adult, then once more in 2007, basically an adult and now in 2018, basically a full grown woman. Crazy we have it all filmed. Also crazy how Conan doesn't seem to have aged one bit over the spawn of 30 years now...
