    In this film, all references to the Catholic church and especially to the death of the pope and the conclave are absolutely false or at least absurd and ridiculous. The writers did a lousy job of documentation.

      @lukasmontenegro3558 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How could you say this? Let's see some of the parts of this clip which are actually true and follow the procedure of a Conclave. You can give a look in internet videos after John Paul II's death or in the church's own documents issued in 2005 .
      1. 00:08 Destruction of the papal seal by the Camerlengo, in the presence of cardinals as witnesses
      2. 01:02 Sealing of papal apartments by the Camerlengo.
      3. 1:15 Procession with the pope's body in open display through Saint Peter's Square.
      4. The "preferiti", actually called "papabile" are also well known within the college of cardinals, e.g. Eugenio Pacelli (Pius XII), Giovanni Battista Montini (Paul VI), and Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) were all papabile.
      I agree that some parts are embellished for cinematographic purposes, but to call all a lie or ridiculous is incorrect on your part. I understand you may be a catholic and wished thing were different, less pompous. Yet, it is the way it is!

      @@lukasmontenegro3558 Excuse me for my insistence: Nothing that appears in the film follows the procedure of the conclave. 1. 00:24: The black sleeve of the cassock is the first mistake: the camerlengo IS a cardinal, he cannot be a priest (later we see him acting as an acolyte of the "Great Elector", a character who does not exist in the reality of the conclaves); 2. 01:05: A voice says that at that moment: nine days of mourning begin, called "vacant see", confusing the "novemdiales" (9-day period of Vatican mourning) with the time that elapses until there is a new pope. 3. 1:15 am: The transfer (not procession) with the body of the deceased pope is carried out from the Clementine Room of the Palazzo Regio to the Basilica of Saint Peter, passing through the side of Saint Peter's Square; in this transfer there are no official representatives of any country (at 01:28 people in uniform are seen in the front row, as if they were kings of some country); it is witnessed by the faithful who are in the square at that moment, and it certainly does not go around the obelisk that is in the center of the square. 1:50, the "preferiti" are presented as the main candidates (they are even in the first row), the "papabili" are supposedly favorite cardinals according to the press and Vatican specialists. Simply, there are no "preferiti".
      And these are the absurd errors that appear in these two and a half minutes. There are also wardrobe errors. The cardinals do not wear the miter in this transfer, but rather the biretta, the miter is used exclusively in masses and liturgical services; The rest of the movie is filled with more mistakes and nonsense. Obviously the scriptwriters were not well documented.

      Nothing that is said is real. The camerlengo must be a cardinal, he cannot be a priest; the nine days mentioned are not those of the "vacant see" but those of the pope's funeral; there are no "preferiti", there is no procession with the pope around the obelisk in Saint Peter's Square. Everything is a mess.

      @@fibeltek1328 No, in reality this first procession to transfer the body of the Pope is carried out from the Pauline library and crosses Saint Peter's Square only on one side, it does not go around the obelisk, and heads of state do not attend, as is the case at the funeral, but only the faithful who are in the square at that moment. There are many videos of that transfer of John Paul II.

      no one is worshiping a dead man, but paying homage of honor to the head of God's church, Christ's ambassador on earth, and if he is a saint, what's the problem in worshiping him? Christ gave the keys to Peter and he to his successors. In the bible there is a passage in which the PAPADO is INSTITUTED by God. God wants us to ask for the intercession of the saints.

    Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
    The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.
    Find *"The Mystery about the Church of Christ"* video on TH-cam. The video reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World.
