My thing about the whole "no white after labor day" gimmick to me has always been that.....then WHY do all of the white clothes come out during winter season? I've never believed it LOL
I live in Singapore where it is hot and humid all year. We wear either shirts and tank top or a thin t shirt or a dress. Even sleeves on a dress are too much. Because we walk a lot most wear sneakers even with a dress although for work the uniform is smart a line dress and low but formal shoes. Jewellery and fancy bags are the only way you can signal style so the handbag ‘purse’ scene is big. We don’t wear hats but carry an umbrella for shade. Hats make you hot. The tank tops with integral bra are a godsend.

to your last point, rings during a hot summer day can get pretty uncomfortable. if the ring is gold, an investment piece, you probably got it in the size that your fingers/hands are MOST of the time, so cooler weather. your fingers will swell and make rings uncomfortable, at least in my experience. and i always take an overshirt (i get them in the men's section of goodwill) which i wear in the sun cause i am stupid and don't use sunscreen. just make sure it is cotton/breathable, and the bigger/looser it is, the cooler it will be in the heat.
Try Serena Bute London for Silk Shirts or Silk blends, her clothing line is premium but you pay for chic quality and, her designs are flowy floaty comfy Silk pieces. And if your a real Sweaty type, there's no fabric that will sustain that but perhaps using a cotton pad in your arm pits.
