This song fucking rules, it's so energetic, all the parts and details are maximum badass. The singing is badass. Blackmoore is (was) badass. Gillan rips. Drums from hell. It grooves like a mf. Extremely inspiring song, if I make it to old old age I will still feel the same way about it like the very first time I heard it. Haulin' that cargo thru the solar system forever bro, let's go
I was listening to you play New Dawn Fades and hearing the original guitar part and not being immediately able to put a name to it, even though I knew it was something I loved. Wonderful song. Space Truckin' is the sound of a band absolutely at the height of it's powers. The drumming is the highlight of the track. It's one of the few Deep Purple songs where I prefer the studio version to the live.
Sounds like trust issues my man. Richard, your patience knows no bounds. Speaking of Macca, I would argue that Wings - “I am your singer” is a love song to love songs. And Deep Purple is awesome.
In the '70s, there were several songs and movies about trucking (Truckin' by The Dead, Smokey and the Bandit, Keep on Truckin', etc.). And space is always cool :) Hence, Space Truckin'!
My buddy also believes that Paul McCartney died. The Beatles got wind of that rumor and decided to screw around with people. Oh, and this Deep Purple song kicks butt! That descending riff in the chorus is simple, but effective.
Billy Shears is the alias of Ringo in Sgt. Peppers so that part of the conspiracy never made sense to me. I do agree that it's strange though, I definitely went down the rabbit hole in high school and was a believer until a certain age but maybe I should revisit it.
As a person in recovery myself, I can attest that after years of drug use, I've burnt areas of my brain too, but I've never heard this Paul McCartney conspiracy and i tend to go for the odd conspiracy, but then again im not a Beatles fan. Aloe Vera bro, Aloe Vera...
Well that took a turn! I heard Ringo is actually a hugely talented drummer, and simplified his parts so as not to annoy John Bonham's dog. Listen to their early stuff man. Listen to it!
I had a several hours drunk discussion one night about Faux Paul McCartney with one of my best friends. He truly believes it in his bones 😂 As for what I believe, this song rules 🤘🏻
Great reaction and a very entertaining debate about the existence of Paul McCartney. BTW, I have it on good authority (from John Lennon, who is my neighbor) that Paul never existed. In truth, it was the reincarnation of Heinrich Engelhard Steinweg, who was the Beatles' bass player. Steinweg was a German piano maker who emigrated to the USA and anglicized his name there to call himself Henry E. Steinway. I doubt you've ever heard of him, especially you Judson, since you don't play bass. No, I'm just kidding, John Lennon is not my neighbor at all, but the neighbor of a friend of mine who told me this story. 😉 I hope this is not the end of your channel.
Definitely not for this reason. I'm guessing you've never listened to this album, otherwise you'd know the song 'Smoke On The Water', which tells the story of why they were forced to move to the nearby Grand Hotel to record the album.
While I can’t disagree with the unpleasant or expression part of your comment, as that is your observational opinion, I must offer the opposite perspective of the latter. I very very very much enjoy what I/we are doing. I love it in fact! Also, I love that you took to time to hang with us for a bit and we do appreciate the comment wholeheartedly!
@@Greatmeasures I've seen several videos, since I love metal, but I don't see you enjoying it much. I mean listening to metal. I didn't mean any disrespect. (google traductor)
@@creveco79 none taken! I’m finding an appreciation first, I think. However, I have enjoyed the THALL stuff and a lot of black metal. Mainly I’ll just kinda take the adverse side of the coin for a good conversation because Richard loves it so much. I think it’s a metal intervention on me and, as Richard and I personally know, interventions are uncomfortable at first! Ha. I definitely enjoy the music more than I let on sometimes because I just like messing with my homie.
We need Burn or Stormbringer next!!
You need the live version off Made in Japan this is a quarter of it.
Ian Paice such a brilliant drummer and up there with Bonham and Baker IMO
Child in time! Live 1970 just amazing!
This version is actually not the version on the album, which fades out instead of ending. Amazing playing and incredible singing on this track.
It is the 25th anniversary Roger Glover remix unless I am mistaken.
‘Hi Everybody. We’re Great Conspiracies (GREAT CONSPIRACIES). My name is Richard, and this is Jusdon…or is it?’
This rant was friggin' hilarious!!!!!!😂😂❤
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
_"Space truckin', son, ain't what it used to be."_ 😉
👿🔱😈.. freaking great album from the first song to the last one if y'all haven't heard the whole album I highly recommend that you do
Just waiting for Judson's 3 disc album of piano covers.
Didn't expect this to turn into a rant about Faul.... I'm here for it.

I had never heard about this and I'm 100% on board! Oh and the song is cool too.

"You asked for this" completely cracked me
hell yea, this song rules 🤘that heavy bass/organ sounds killer in a car. Ash vs Evil Dead is how I know this song too.
Deep purple deep cut
You should check out Burn or Fireball next. Both killer songs.

The lyric is based on that old cartoon strip keep on trucking. He had a big foot.,.mixed in with the space age at that time.
Watch the live version of Child In Time from 1970 and lets hear whats your favorite song of their again :).
Good song. And I’ve never heard of Judson’s Beatles theory.
Haha, I love how this turned into a conspiracy episode. The LAST thing I expected 😆
Wow, I met Paul for an autograph
.
I bet "Burn" would have been a much better song for Judson.
Billy Shears is the alias of Ringo in Sgt. Peppers so that part of the conspiracy never made sense to me. I do agree that it's strange though, I definitely went down the rabbit hole in high school and was a believer until a certain age but maybe I should revisit it.
I appreciate your passion for conspiracies as it prevents me from being _totally_ in love with you.
Ian Paice is GOD
Well fellas……I spoke with William Sheers a few days ago. He thinks Judson would LOVE the song Cannibal by Vola. He was quite certain on it….
A friend of mine told me the same story and told me that the cover art for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band resembles a funeral.
Sweet child in time next boys
Perfect strangers or Vincent Price next

Damn ! I was wrong again , LOL !! I thought Judson was playing a version of Staind ( Outside )
Well that took a turn! I heard Ringo is actually a hugely talented drummer, and simplified his parts so as not to annoy John Bonham's dog. Listen to their early stuff man. Listen to it!
If you like Richard Blackmore, you should check out the band he has with his wife called Blackmore night it’s kind of like Medieval rock music
Have y'all done Thin Lizzy yet? I'd vote Cowboy Song.
and after this video, Richard listened to Visceral Disgorge's "Force Fed Shredded Genitalia" to regain some of his sanity
I had a several hours drunk discussion one night about Faux Paul McCartney with one of my best friends. He truly believes it in his bones 😂 As for what I believe, this song rules 🤘🏻
Interesting that Professor of Rock talked about the car crash and Sir Paul on the same day as you guys.
That is interesting
If you guys didn't load up Star Trucker on Steam after this then I am disappointed. Edit: Visceral Disgorge shirt? Hell yeah
make a reaction to burshtyn, please
Richard, you have a look sometimes. I can't tell if its impatience or figuring out what Judson is playing.
Try "Made in Japan" version. It lasts 20 minutes

YEAH YEAH YEAH GAY FUCKIN’
Did you know that William Shear’s half sister is Yoko Ono’s neighbor’s friends’ hairdresser?
No! But that makes perfect sense!
@@Greatmeasures 😂😂😂
the made in japan version still better
They recorded the Machine Head album in Grand Hotel hall to give the album the live feal. Peace

Space Trukin was a joke????? As was Highway Star
Ok Richard, don't analyze ANY, A N Y Paul McCartney song with Judson, never.
ANY song, NEVER.
🤣🤣🤣
This guy is very unpleasant. Zero expression on his face. It's obvious that he doesn't like what he does at all.
