I find old film and animation so fascinating. It's amazing to see Winsor's "Little Nemo" characters come to life long before the 1990 TMS movie. (Loved that movie as a kid.) Almost makes me wish they made an old one in this style back then.
Call Continuity: he was wearing a hat while drawing on the board. But this is great! I worked for 17 years at the company who produced gels for Disney and other "cartoon" producers. Killed by digital.
That's John Bunny! One of the first comedians to become recognized in early cinema. He was very popular, being the rather larger man in the first shots of the artists laughing about making a moving film!
Interesting! I looked him up, "When John Bunny died the New York Times stated, "The name John Bunny will always be linked to the movies." Little did movie fans of 1915 realize that he would be completely forgotten the next year and completely omitted from many books on silent movies 70-80 years later." Out of curiosity I looked him in a Who's Who In Comedy book and he is listed in it! He did over 250 silent films. And was in one of the first filmed comedy teams called Bunny and Finch. Even more curious, Finch is a woman!

That was awesome, thanks for helping spread the animation history with your channel!
