Love this sauce, not too many ingredients or too complicated but tastes 👍 my only addition is 1/4 cup of jack Daniels (loving BBQ here in UK, BBQ beats borders)...... Thanks for a great channel
Looks really good Scott! The chipotle is where it’s at for a nice smoky flavor. Bet it’d be great on a chopped beef sandwich. Have a great weekend brother!
Thank you for sharing ! I plan to make it for Christmas Eve Brisket. I have been looking for a good brown sugar sauce to make. Do you think it would over power if I just use all brown instead of white sugar? Anybody else try that?
I hope you enjoy. Brown sugar just has more molasses than plan white sugar. So it would change the flavor. But I don't think in a bad way. Thanks for watching.
Thanks my Aunty lived in Seattle for many yrs, she gave me this recipe almost exactly as yours she I lost it thank you . Xox she cooked it for 8 hours slowly lol
Man I am not sure I have ever had Texas Style BBQ sauce. What is a commercial brand that would be this type? Looks good. I love all types of sauces and this looks like it would be great on some pulled pork!
Heinz, Stubbs, Bullseye..etc. But I like homemade much better. Plus I don't put that nasty liquid smoke in my recipes. Also, being homemade you can change the flavors to suit your taste buds.
Most chili powders have other ingredients in them that will alter the taste. I used pure chipotle powder. But ultimately it's what ever taste good to you. Make it your own. :) Thanks so much for watching.
Nice Scott! You have a guy from Texas making Carolina BBQ and a guy from Carolina making Texas BBQ sauce. Gonna give this a shot.👍
Yes sir. BBQ is universal. I hope you enjoy. Thanks bro.
Thank You Sir I’m from Tx myself and a USMC Vet..simplicity is awesomeness. Gonna make this recepy.

Thank you so much!
The music in the background i like it! can someone please tell me who plays it??
How long does it last in the refrigerator?
Sealed in a jar. Maybe 6 months.
Sweet, tangy, spicy...sounds about right!! I will be trying this at our next barbecue 🍗...greetings from Dallas, Tx 👋🏻🤟🏻
Thank you so much. I appreciate you confirming the recipe. Have a great weekend.
THEREALSHOWBBQ thanks Scott..you as well... by the way, I’m still loving my InkBird 😁👌🏻
@@lyraperez3964 So glad. They make great thermometers.
this is a fantastic sauce.. one suggestion, 1 TBSP of Black Pepper seemed to be a little more "Texan," IMO. Awesome job. Great video. Thanks.
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!

@@THEREALSHOWBBQ Ahh ok I have had those then. Just didn’t realize it was Texas style. I’m not a big fan of the liquid smoke either!
Would Chipotle powder and Chipotle chili powder be the same thing?
Most chili powders have other ingredients in them that will alter the taste. I used pure chipotle powder. But ultimately it's what ever taste good to you. Make it your own. :) Thanks so much for watching.
Like the music in the background.
Thanks for watching!
Really good! 🥵Appreciated😎 bro.
My pleasure. Thanks so much.
Can I use chili powder instead of chipotle powder?
Sure, it will alter the taste and will less spicy. Thanks for watching
Any hot spicy bbq sauce recipe?

Some Justin Johnson in the background? 🤘
Yes sir!
Interesting, I was expecting a blank video because all I’ve ever heard is that Texas BBQ doesn’t need sauce
I appreciate it. This a great sauce especially in beef.
Will make great gifts for Christmas...way better than a Chinese made gift and it's made from the heart. ❤️
That's a great idea. Thanks for watching!
Why does everyone use ketchup as a base. ... tomato paste or sauce is the way to go. Authentic sauce doesn't start with ketchup
Everyone has their own style and differences. It's whatever taste good to you.
I don't have Chipotle powder 😩
You can buy it on Amazon. Thanks for watching
Seemed pretty easy. But damn that's a ton of sugar. 10 cups? Never bar b que sauce had that much sugar
It's 10 tablespoons not cups.
This is straight slop. Might as well buy Kraft.
