@CouchPotoCafe great video I have a question I have 1 of the first Boxes (No Blue Back Light Button) how do u work the speaker on this, only way I can get It to work Is when I take the HD I cable out now I know that's can't b how It works, If so that's Dumb, who wants to keep doing that all the time? 🤔

Firestick is a good device it's more of what Amazon is doing with the firmware to be more captive and income generating.

Nice job. I liked your down-to-earth style. The Apps Only mode almost makes Google TV look like a custom launcher. I don't have any reason to stay with Fire TV anymore.

I have 4. I have apk's and other stuff on them. Sick of Amazon.
I have been a roku user pretty much since the first model came out and I love thier interface . The big downside to them is that they don't have good parental controls so I bought the Onn Stick and it's pretty slow and freezes up with only 1gb of Ram but has dedicated profiles so I can have a kid profile on there. I went back and bought two of the Onn 4k boxes and they are much better than the stick. I think I may get the 4k pro as an upgrade to the slow stick .

And I just figured out that I can use a Fire TV remote with the Onn device. I definitely prefer that.
But then I realized that the Fire TV remote won't work properly with every app.
I have one. Great box. Things I don't care for: 1. You cannot adjust the size of the screen. In order to see the whole screen, I have to shrink by 3% and you cannot do that with this box. Shield, firestick and the china boxes can. 2. The tiny select button on the remote. My fingers keep pressing the directional button with it. 3. No IR programing any of the buttons on the remote.

I'm trying to figure out the best unloaded box that can be loaded if needed😉. There are so many boxes and clones of clones you never know what you might get. Yes i lived through the satellite days in the 70's to 2000's and all the boxes and devices that were out there. The good thing was that there wasn't very many players like there are today. Thanks for the content.

How would that USB hub connect to the onn? For whatever reason I just can't visualize the setup.
The wire coming off the hub plugs into the USB port of the tv box

Everything I had on my firestick is on my Onn4k devices. Downloader I put on the Onn4k. You have to enable the Onn4k to sideload.I have no problems and I have apk's that I sideloaded and other apps Netflix, Paramount ect.
YES, of course it's better than the FS 4K, FS 4K Max, ROKU "&" CRapple tv. 👍🏻😁👍🏻

I connected a “4K HDMI Audio Extractor HDMI to HDMI + Audio” box on my ONN & put a Y splitter into my computers speakers. Or you could get a B.T. Speaker / headphones.

Where are you located that you found a backlit remote? Was it shipped to you?

@@CouchPotatoCafe Thanks for replying. I’ve checked multiple stores in southeast Florida. They only have the ones with the A2405 and some with A2408 on the boxes, which represents the model with the non-backlit remote.
@@TCintheClutch I talked with them yesterday and they told me that 75% of the stores in the lower 48 have them, also depends on how much stock the stores go through to when they will get the next roll out.

I just bought the original onn 4k box a few months ago. Is this worth the upgrade?
not if your happy with it, it is faster and a google assistant but if the puck is working then just stick with it until you need a new one
THE ONN 4K PRO HAS 3 GIG RAM THE ONN THAT YOU HAVE ONLY HAVE 2GIGS OF RAM THE ONN 4K PRO HAS 32 GIGS OF STORAGE AFTER SETTINGS IT UP YOU END UP WITH 23 GIGS OF STORAGE THE ONN YOU HAVE DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO THAT MUCH STORAGE I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE BOTH ONN 4K STREAMING DEVICE AND THE ONN 4K PRO STREAMING BOX

Can anyone comment about Bluetooth connection strength? I'm hard of hearing and use headphones 90% of the time, on my fire stick, without issue. I've heard that Bluetooth connection strength is poor with the ONN, that would be a deal breaker for me, regardless of how open Google TV is. Software support longevity is also a concern. Thank you, in advance everyone.
I've had good luck with these earphones amzn.to/4emCOGC with all these boxes, I walk around in different rooms and didn't cut out.

It was hacked and videos deleted, then TH-cam tried to stop it locked up the account for prevention and doing so deleted more, anyways it got to the point of just starting over.

I replaced my Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K with this Onn TV 4K Pro Box and honestly the Onn TV 4K Pro Box performs way better and it doesn't have Lag or Slowness like the Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K. If Walmart can keep these Devices Updated consistently and keep them at a good Price then I think they will take over Amazon and possibly even Google Roku and Apple for the best Streaming Devices out there. I'm still keeping my Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K as a Backup because that's what Google has over Onn is consistent Updates since Google is Stock Android but like I said if Walmart can keep the Onn Brand Devices Updated consistently then I can surely see them leading the way with the best Streaming Devices. You get way more with the Onn TV 4K Pro Box then you do with the Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K or other Brand Streaming Devices especially at a $50.00 Dollar Price point you can't beat it.
Oh I agree, Walmart is putting in a lot of money going up against Amazon so I would say yes they will keep it updated

I think the fire stick is complete garbage. You have more than 20 min in to watch something and then it's a hit or miss. Too much lag and buffering. You always get buffering.
