True, but I cannot understand how Blink sounds so shit with Matt, when the Trio sounds this good with him. You'd think he'd bring some Trio-esque flair to Blink, but as soon as he joined they just turned into stupid radio pop.
Lee Whitworth I love blink and don’t think the new albums are quite as bad as everyone makes them out to be (I really enjoyed Nine, California is incredibly meh) but I get the impression Matt really doesn’t have much creative input at all, at the very most I feel like they maybe give him the verse or chorus Mark has already written and ask him to match it. I feel like the songs that are very clearly Matt’s (Last Train Home, Black Rain, No Heart to Speak Of) have been blink’s stronger songs of the Matt era
Seriously...listen to Nine...Matt's fingerprints are all over that album. Its my personal favorite Blnk record.. I really liked California but you could tell most of the album was played safely introducing a new member. The deluxe edition is badass..I'm just happy he didn't leave Trio and makes great music for BOTH bands. This is my personal opinion though
I set down the dream with the rain boots And decided to ride out the storm Now I can't recall how to welcome the light And I can't see not window or door It's these four walls of mine How they change colors Now they sing to me sometimes So dark the verse, so comfortable the tune Seduced to nothing Just a servitude in size All singing, bloodshot eyes Bruise colored our lives Dreams that never stood a chance We've been subtracting in the dark Now in the dark is where we dance To radio violence Communicated, filters through A lost transmission on repeat No one else is listening to If I went dark tonight Would I change colors? Go from tip to tails in white To southern stumbles soaked in rage by midnight We saw it coming A misfortune teller knew Made sure it all came true Bruise colored our lives Dreams that never stood a chance We've been subtracting in the dark Now in the dark is where we dance To radio violence Communicated, filters through A lost transmission on repeat No one else is listening to But you Bruise colored our lives Dreams all soaked in medicine We're left alone here in the dark As in the dark was where we met Through radio violence Communicated, filters through A lost transmission on repeat No one else is listening to
Matthew Davies I respect your opinion and I agree but I got the lyrics from a website and I thought he sang “a servant to these signs all seen through bloodshot eyes” 🤷♂️
This song reminds me of both The Clash and Elvis Castello in all the best ways, while still sounding like a classic Trio song. Can't wait for the Bad Religion tour.
Matt often has the catchier melodies, but dans always pierce through and the lyrics make it stick. Love alk3 and looking back so many of the songs that have lasted in my mind are the rippers that Dan knocks out.
That's what's wrong with this FAKE VIRUS you are all to DISTRACTED, with your cell phones, football, baseball, your 3rd degree free mason education, don't forget your cell phone, the bright lights in Los Vegas, just bright lights period and once more don't your cell phone.
Drummer on this is Tony Barsotti - one of the best drummers I've ever seen/heard and one of the best dudes. Used to play in Hagfish, still does occasionally.
Dan can do no wrong he’s such a talent in the band!
always welcoming new Alkaline Trio music. Even if it is in a shit time of year
but its what we need right now
What a weird ass understatement of the century dude, I fucking love it
I think its awesome that you guys are still together putting out music. Been listening for over 15 years now
Even when matt is busy with blink, he never forgets trio

Lee Whitworth I like to think that since the Trio is HIS band he keeps all his best material for their new albums 😂
I think Matt loves to do both Blink 182 and Alkaline Trio too much to end with any of them.

Nothing like some good ol’ fashioned alk3!
Wow, I need dans new flavor of song writing in a new album and Matt to bring that old trio sound like he did in minds like minefields. I NEED IT!!!
Listen to some old trio it's good for the heart
Man, those guitar sound great❤
It's like they can always find something new to do with their melody and lyrical talent
Dan's a phenomenal songwriter. Better than Matt at this time
Nicholas johnson he’s always been amazing tho right Maby the best!
This has to be one of Danny’s best ones
Danny's songwriting Wins Again
THE TRIO IS BACK ☠️💔
Sounds great....
Reminds me of early 2000’s rock. I love it!
This EP on repeat, again..Viva ALK3
Maybe it's the Emergency Room vibes, but I was expecting higher vocal notes at 2:35 like in Let Me In. Still a banger, Dan is otherworldly.
I set down the dream with the rain boots
And decided to ride out the storm
Now I can't recall how to welcome the light
And I can't see not window or door
It's these four walls of mine
How they change colors
Now they sing to me sometimes
So dark the verse, so comfortable the tune
Seduced to nothing
Just a servitude in size
All singing, bloodshot eyes
Bruise colored our lives
Dreams that never stood a chance
We've been subtracting in the dark
Now in the dark is where we dance
To radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to
If I went dark tonight
Would I change colors?
Go from tip to tails in white
To southern stumbles soaked in rage by midnight
We saw it coming
A misfortune teller knew
Made sure it all came true
Bruise colored our lives
Dreams that never stood a chance
We've been subtracting in the dark
Now in the dark is where we dance
To radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to
But you
Bruise colored our lives
Dreams all soaked in medicine
We're left alone here in the dark
As in the dark was where we met
Through radio violence
Communicated, filters through
A lost transmission on repeat
No one else is listening to
Thanks for the lyrics 👍🏻
My man with the lyrics! Thank you!
Seen them on the other two so I decided to put some here too
@@tharealdg333 it sounds like Dan's singing "how they sing to me sometimes" though
Matthew Davies I respect your opinion and I agree but I got the lyrics from a website and I thought he sang “a servant to these signs all seen through bloodshot eyes” 🤷♂️
I'll keep 6 ft to hear them live. I've been wanting to see them since I was a kid.
Dan and Matt ...hope to hear from them for next 20 years atleast 💪
This song reminds me of both The Clash and Elvis Castello in all the best ways, while still sounding like a classic Trio song. Can't wait for the Bad Religion tour.
Wore my Alkaline trio shirt today without even realizing they put out new music
best Alkaline Trio song in a while
Love this harmony...Indonesian alk3 fans
Was not expecting new music from these guys ...
Is This Thing Cursed ? Is my favorite album of the last few years ...
Nothing can replace that sound.
I was going to see them in a few days for the first time. Been a fan since the beginning. I'm so sad I'll miss this tour.
This sounds like something Dan came up with for Party adjacent.
Thank you thank you thank you 💀❤3
one of the my Fav Bands
These new songs hit me outta nowhere, I wasn't keeping up on a new album. What an awesome surprise.
😄 This track is fire! Thanks AT 💚
This song in my introduction to this band and it's a JAM
C0OLMAN299 oh man, you have a journey ahead of you! And I hope you enjoy it
Welcome to heart and skull
I love Dan so much
Sounds like early 2000s skate rock
didnt know they had a new album out fuck ya i feel better now!
the song is great and that guitar filling in the first verse is soo sweet!!
Nice!!
Good tune
Que buena banda... que buena canción ..!!! 🤙🤙🤙
Sounds more like an emergency room track, but I'll take it
Derekkkkkkkk ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ my favorite Drummer ever.
Derek didn't play on these recordings.
Yes this brings back so much for me
Thank you very much guys
Hi alkaline trío, great song 🤘
Amazing!
Qué bonito!!!
The Clash

Yaaaaas

Once read a fan say "I come for Matt, but stay for Dan". Made me think of that : )
uploaded 13 seconds ago, wow I can sense it somehow
We need a distraction from whats going on ! Just some great songwriting in the new songs

Brilliant!
Dexter Morgan What does your dark passenger think
Love that
❤
No wonder i feel like listen to trio this morning, then wallaa new song
Just realized they got the drummer from Hagfish now. Great drummer!
🖤🖤
i think we need to confine Alka3 more to keep writing good songs for us... Just kiddingxD I'll always love their music
🤘
👌
Derek Grant channeling some of that old SM technique!
glad hes back on the tubs

@@wessolem2412 thanks for that info. better than that jarrod tbh.
Wes Solem pretty sure Dereks doing background vocals on this, no?
@@JohnLaszkow That I don't know!
I hear a little bit of "Old School Reasons" riffs.
It’s wordcraft!
You should go back to the dark side! Look how popular ghost is!
😍
Matt Skiba fucking rules
New music!! 😄😄
I'm kinda confused on the chorus lyrics, is it: "Bruise colored highlights" or "Bruise colored our lives"?
when are you coming to Brazil?
Probably not until COVID-19 blows over.
"201 global pandemic exercise"
This doesn't sound like Alkaline it sounds more like Dan's side project or Tuesday.
A very Old School Reasons vibe at start.
Sounds like a Blink182 song to me.
Did anyone ask?
Im not fan of Dan´s songs but this one is one of the best in the Alk3
How dare you speak bad of Dan.
@@dextermorgan4432 sorry
what? dan's songs are amazing
You must be in jail
Dan is like a ultra hit or miss, i get it, but i like most of his songs
never a fan of dan's vocal
You're probably the only one 🧐
I love this
🤘

Think "Bruised colored highlights"
@@jacomisemeyer I thought it was. Thanks.
