The titles of Karnad's plays are wrongly pronounced. It is not Tale 'Dand' but Tale 'Danda'. 'Dand' has no meaning in Kannada. It is again not 'Hayavadan' but 'Hayavadana'. And, it is not Naga 'Mandal' but Naga 'Mandala'. Pronouncing the titles of Karnad's plays is an insult to him. The presenter also refers to Yakshagana as Yakshagan. Those who specialize in the area of theatre should at least know how the titles of the plays they are analyzing are pronounced.
