    Funny you mentioned that David Bradley claimed that Dudikoff was a diva and wanted to be the main American Ninja...because if that's the case I 100% agree with Dudikoff. As a kid I HATED Bradley...especially when he took 5 mins to meditate while fighting the ninjas on the golf course. 10 year old me was like FUCK this GUY...and then lost my shit when Dudikoff appeared on screen with his iconic scowl. This was peak 90s Saturday afternoon movie block.

      @kyoki86 i wasn't as familiar with him being only 8 when the 4th came out, but wasn't Bradley the guy who thought he was the shit, could kick anyone's ass, but would always complain how he was overlooked in Hollywood.
      i never knew what the truth was, Michael Dudikoff was a lesser known name as well, but everybody atleast remembered him from American Ninja and American Ninja 2.
      but from my limited memories of Bladley, i thought his acting was horrible.

    Funny review, great work! As a kid i really liked Dudikoff as the American Ninja (especially "The Confrontation" with its sweet music & setting) & James of course.
    15:54 Hiring Steve James a.k.a. Curtis Jackson won't be that easy, considering that he died in 1993. But hey, we got CGI Tarkin...so nothing is impossible these days.

    Sean beats Mulgrew to death in the end. It's weird seeing a guy in his late 30s (Sean) beat a guy in his early 60s (Mulgrew) to death in a movie. Fun fact, the actor who played Mulgrew also wrote the script for this movie and was one of the script writers for American Ninja 2.

    I been watching these for the 1st time too. Then see your reviews. This movie was so bad I had to turn it off half way through. Then watched the rest the next day.
    Michael Dudikoff looked more than 3 years older. The humor was OK but seeing as this was also filmed in South Africa. Whatever reservations he had from the 3rd one went away.
    David Bradley fighting was real crisp. The part where he was just using a mask on his face was good.
    There is apart where a ninja is in a red mask but black outfit. So the budget showed there.
    They could have made it interesting like Michael Dudakoff could have been the eyepatch superninja that was brainwashed. Then fights David bradley mid movie Then they team up.
    But anyways the movie cover was the best of the series. Even though it reminds me of the double impact cover.

    • @RedEyeReviews
      @RedEyeReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely agree. David Bradley did a real solid job. And I wish we could have seen more of them fight together. If only Dudikoff didn't get a big head and think he was the best thing since sliced bread.
