I know it's for Additional Gameplay Purposes, but this just makes me imagine DBZ: Kakarot as "the universe where (nearly) every villain ever gets a redemption".
The sitcom potential is too good not to consider.
Plus it makes good use of a lot of characters that have been totally forgotten in canon, plus it makes use of the old trope from Dragon Ball where former antagonists would become allies (Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, etc). Honestly the amount of potential character interactions as well would be great, and allow for a lot of these characters to get a lot more fleshing out.
I also hope any future DLC takes this into account. Imagine the Ginyu Force defending Earth from an alien invasion, or a character has to baby sit the fucking Cell Jrs for a day. The nonsense levels that can be achieved are nigh limitless

Okay, that Ginyu Force idea is TOO friggin' good. Heck, they could even become the DBZ version of the Sentai Rangers along with the Great Saiyaman.
Also, considering that Vegeta decides to keep the Cell Jrs in the game, the Briefs family just got a whole lot bigger.

Last thought: The Cold family's gonna be _really_ awkward now that Gohan technically is a member of it. I mean, sure, King Cold probably decided to make Gohan his "new son" for his own survival, but think about it. Frieza's also able to be revived in this game, so what would HE think of this whole dilemma?

I love the idea of Gohan meeting with the Ginyu force again and that motivates him to learn how to pose better.
I prefer doing the mission during either the Freeza or Cell Arc intermission to make it the Great Saiyaman origin story.

Redemption Arcs (especially for Raditz & Nappa) would have been really nice! It would be so interesting to have 4 Sayians on earth & see them all start families of hybrids.

In fact, this would be a good idea on the part of the Z warriors to resurrect villains whom they now surpass without difficulty and make them good by beating them. If they reconsider, the strength of the group increases, if not, well, they kill them again and the matter is resolved.

for Nappa, if you go to him right after the cell games, when Gohan is still maintaining his super saiyan form, the dialogue is a bit different.
Dialogue is different when gohan is still a kid after frieza saga too, not that much difference tho. How was it with cell saga gohan?

Holy Moly, where do i even start with these? Let's see, Piccolo is pulling a Gohan with Raditz, Vegeta got a group of beleaguered assisstants now, just imagine , Cui being a bootlick while trying to inefective plans to defeat Vegeta while surrounded by beings way stronger than him, and the Cell juniors just messing with him. Gohan has just become the closest thing to a space emperor in this continuity thanks to obtaining the allegiance of Nappa, the Frieza Forces, the Ginyu Force and the Support of King Cold. All the while this is going on Babidi will try to mess with them but since his men are not fully loyal anymore it will come down as a ridiculous failure and Goku will have a lot of new friends and/or sparring partners thanks to Gero, at least until 21 gets wind of his whereabouts, but who what will she do (probably kill him). Then comes the main villains, in which Frieza seems more focused, so he will become a real adversary while trying to retake his empire from Gohan and beat Goku, with Vegeta and Piccolo interrupting every now and then due to their shared history, Cell just trying to become the perfect warrior, Dabura now being on the same side of the good guys, not fighting until crap hits the fan or threatens the innocents, and Buu....doesn't count because Uub will be born soon (what a shame, would have loved a future with Buu being a neutral force in the universe) This i declare the strongest timeline, by the time they get to Super there will be no shortage of strong fighters.
And one more thing, Ginyu now seeks to become strong on his own to defeat Vegeta, and he doesn't seem to want to have to switch bodies again, but to train and become strong, so it can be said that he has become a Vegeta's kind of rival.
Imagine a new DLC shows Raditz actually seeking revenge as a consequence for reviving him and him, Cell, Frieza, and Nappa are in the crater waiting for Goku and Piccolo. Perfect Cell says “Hello there Goku, did you revert back to normal from Super Saiyan 3, you look really exhausted, let’s help you improve on that weakness with us, of course Piccolo is welcome always to help you!” Raditz says “Piccolo I wasn’t bluffing about returning, it is time!” Frieza says “Come on down dear Goku and Piccolo before I destroy this whole planet!”
