Whoa. This is Frieza's new VA? His portrayal of him is so good! There's a lot of resembalance to the old VA but a new flare as well. Also, the British touch to Frieza's sarcastic and snarky attitude is so good.
What people fail to realize was that bardock and his crew were really one of the strongest saiyans of that time. All because bardock didn’t respect the hierarchy. That’s why the saiyans of his class laughed at him and thought he was a sore loser. “What happen to him” “He got busted up pretty good, that’s what😂” “Hurts Don’t it” “Maybe you should stop pretending to be elite”
16:55 it’s that shot of the bandana here just floating in space where a planet of full of life used to be that made me cry, just like watching the original back when I was a kid
The pure shock in Dadoria's and Zarbon's faces is just crazy. It's like they said "We really decided to work for this mad man". Not saying Zarbon and Dadoria are good guys or could be acting. More so they could've been forced to become the way they are cuz of Frieza. Frieza probably saying "if you are strong, join my army or parish".
To be fair any frieza soldier at some point will realise "I have to obey this guy regardless if I want to stay alive" Frieza surpasses all his minions in terms of cruelty, its not a shock that even zarbon and dodoria would be taken aback

Man, Dodoria has this look on his face while watching the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Would expect him to be elated but it's almost like he is staring in horror or shock.
Going off of Super Broly that has to be the first time Freeza destroyed an entire planet. I mean beforehand it was just King Cold and whatever he did before freeza showed up and exceeded in his place. So if all of that is the case, God damn freeza is ruthless.
I can’t wait to see what the next dlc is gonna be. This one was great. The dlcs honestly just keep getting better and better with each dlc. I’m not saying to raise the bar of expectations but I am saying that I hope they keep up the fine work they are doing now.
This is the best and will probably stayt the best anime game in history. the story , the music, the pain , the emotion. 10/10. i will probably rebeat it again with all the dlc
one of the most crazy things is that bardock is basically going through the entire frieza force elite forces and obliterating all of them since we know that the vast mayority of frieza soldiers cant even fly or fire ki on their own they need special blasters so the guys that can fly and fire ki blasts are pretty decently strong by frieza's army standards and bardock here kills hundreds (including in the case of this game defeating dodorian) of course everyone is nothing compared to frieza
I like the re edit of this story line. Zarbon and didoria actually looked like they felt bad for the sayians. They may have been talking shit about it, but in the end it showed that they actually had some form of compassion for their comrades no matter who they were
Also, keep in mind that not only Saiyans but personnel (soldiers, scientists, etc) of other races from Frieza's army were in planet Vegeta when he destroyed it with that Supernova. It tells a lot of how fearful Frieza was at that time that he didn't mind to deal that amount of collateral damage to his own forces when, in other circumstances, he acts as a strict but somewhat fair boss (as long as his minions get the job done).
To be honest, I love this game how they put in the best moments how we remember. I feel the pure nostalgie P.S. I'm still mad that they forgot vegetas final flash against cell ! >:[
I love how this game adds a bit more that obviously isn’t present in the anime or manga, like here where bardock gives frieza just a bit more struggle and actually have mutual interaction or when Future Gohan used a kamehameha against the androids and gave him one last beam struggle before dying by their barrage of blasts.
Yes! Another cool detail is that 17 and 18 actually bother to learn Trunks and Gohan's names, respecting them as people and fighters, before attempting to finish them both off.
You know, after we got the Dramatic Finish of Bardock killing Frieza, I was hoping that, like the Trunks DLC, this would end with a never-before-scene plot. One involving Bardock winning. I get that it just happens this way, end of story, but goddammit let my man Bardock take a W just once ;_;
Yeah the weirdest part is that they have the time machine as a mechanic to go to previous levels. Why the hell not just use that to bring them along into the main game.
This was definitely my favorite DLC. Even though we already knew the ending, it hit so hard when it actually happened. Between the flashbacks and Zarbon and Dedoria's reactions, I ended up shedding a few tears. The nostalgia took me all the way back to my childhood.

I love how they gave us hope that bardock could win but in reality he couldn’t do shit. I like to think that bardock went super sayin in the split second that he fired that blast that broke through frizas
The way Bardock's headband floats so ominously across the screen at the end as the choir chants is so unsettling. The only thing which attests to Bardock's existence and the battle prior is a little rag which will be lost in space. One moment he was there, the next he's been destroyed down to the last atom.
I definitely prefer the original to Kakarot's version, Frieza not even acknowledging Bardock and just laughing as he sentences an entire race to death really shows how beneath him they all were
In the OG Z manga Freeza thought hes seen Goku before when they met for first time, only to realise the similarity to a saiyan warrior who stood up against him when he destroy planet vegeta, so yeah he does RECOGNIZE Bardock, atleast the face.
I've never liked this game but whoever sequenced this encounter knew that the Bardock story fit perfectly with the game's format and I have to give credit where credit is due, it was fun watching that Frieza boss fight.
I appreciate that they really leaned into the decadent mad Emperor vibes here. Frieza expecting Zarbon and Dodoria to be as impressed by his slaughter himself is some peak Nero shit.

Whoa. This is Frieza's new VA? His portrayal of him is so good! There's a lot of resembalance to the old VA but a new flare as well. Also, the British touch to Frieza's sarcastic and snarky attitude is so good.
He's being voicing Frieza since DB Fighterz💀💀💀💀💀💀
He isn't new at all.

What people fail to realize was that bardock and his crew were really one of the strongest saiyans of that time.
All because bardock didn’t respect the hierarchy.
That’s why the saiyans of his class laughed at him and thought he was a sore loser.
“What happen to him”
“He got busted up pretty good, that’s what😂”
“Hurts Don’t it”
“Maybe you should stop pretending to be elite”
So true
16:55 it’s that shot of the bandana here just floating in space where a planet of full of life used to be that made me cry, just like watching the original back when I was a kid
The pure shock in Dadoria's and Zarbon's faces is just crazy. It's like they said "We really decided to work for this mad man". Not saying Zarbon and Dadoria are good guys or could be acting. More so they could've been forced to become the way they are cuz of Frieza. Frieza probably saying "if you are strong, join my army or parish".
To be fair any frieza soldier at some point will realise "I have to obey this guy regardless if I want to stay alive"
Frieza surpasses all his minions in terms of cruelty, its not a shock that even zarbon and dodoria would be taken aback
@@KaruSnep You make a very solid and fair point
I'm still hoping we see bardock again in the future when XenoVerse 3 is finally confirmed

you know after seeing the ending I hope the next DLC has goku fighting in all of the tournaments he was in as a kid up until his teen years including the baba tournament where he fought gohan its nice to see how they not only gave gohan a scene but also hearing his original voice again
I’m sorry but what do you mean by the original voice actor?
@@Vic_.- I guess what I meant was that even though we haven't heard gohan in years when they finally bring him back in a modern day game he still has his original voice instead of a new one like how kid goku got a new voice actor

Seeing Grandpa Gohan being so happy brings tears to my eyes
The Last scene of Cute Goku always makes my day❤️❤️
Adding Zarbon and Dodoria’s reaction was so good!
The scene with Grandpa Gohan and baby Goku was just too cute. How far Goku has come.
I can’t wait to see what the next dlc is gonna be. This one was great. The dlcs honestly just keep getting better and better with each dlc. I’m not saying to raise the bar of expectations but I am saying that I hope they keep up the fine work they are doing now.
It’s Goku vs piccolo from dragon ball
This is the best and will probably stayt the best anime game in history. the story , the music, the pain , the emotion. 10/10. i will probably rebeat it again with all the dlc
The Frieza fight really turned the game into Touhou.
Embodiment of Frost Demon
How I felt when I got the the end of Sonic Frontiers.
As usual they made a beautiful cinematic especially when it turns black and white
one of the most crazy things is that bardock is basically going through the entire frieza force elite forces and obliterating all of them since we know that the vast mayority of frieza soldiers cant even fly or fire ki on their own they need special blasters so the guys that can fly and fire ki blasts are pretty decently strong by frieza's army standards and bardock here kills hundreds (including in the case of this game defeating dodorian)
of course everyone is nothing compared to frieza
every character frame in the cinematics are just like the anime but in a better quality.. just wow for the art
i love how accurately they captured the final scene from the tv special
I like the re edit of this story line. Zarbon and didoria actually looked like they felt bad for the sayians. They may have been talking shit about it, but in the end it showed that they actually had some form of compassion for their comrades no matter who they were
Also, keep in mind that not only Saiyans but personnel (soldiers, scientists, etc) of other races from Frieza's army were in planet Vegeta when he destroyed it with that Supernova.
It tells a lot of how fearful Frieza was at that time that he didn't mind to deal that amount of collateral damage to his own forces when, in other circumstances, he acts as a strict but somewhat fair boss (as long as his minions get the job done).
its more so for the hordes of freezas soldiers caught in the blast... seeing how easily freeza would throw away their lives if he deemed it so.
Hey Anthony another great showcase my friend and these cutscenes are gorgeous
0:23 couldnt help but to have the ost of bardock in dokkan battle in mind
Never change that thumbnail. It’s perfect.
True
This is the same Frieza that super goku became friends with🤦♂️
To be honest, I love this game how they put in the best moments how we remember. I feel the pure nostalgie
That's what I really like of this game, it is very detailed to little things!
Yes! Another cool detail is that 17 and 18 actually bother to learn Trunks and Gohan's names, respecting them as people and fighters, before attempting to finish them both off.
You know, after we got the Dramatic Finish of Bardock killing Frieza, I was hoping that, like the Trunks DLC, this would end with a never-before-scene plot. One involving Bardock winning.
I get that it just happens this way, end of story, but goddammit let my man Bardock take a W just once ;_;
Honestly what I thought was gonna happen after he managed to blast through Frieza's death beam near the end there
He already did get a W, with his son.
@@yourcordialvermillionchapw2398 IT'S NOT ENOUGH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
That's for Xenoverse 3
Even if he went ssj he would lose
That chair is at least as strong as first form frieza being able to withstand those explosions
I wish they made him and future gohan playable in the main game after you complete both dlcs an u get them by wishing on the dragon balls or something

The nostalgia took me all the way back to my childhood.
is that solid state scouter?
holy shit I can't believe they actually included it, thats hype af
It's crazy how Bardock looks like Vegeta when he got blasted by Frieza so sad his last words were Kakarot
Hearing solid state scouter again brought tears to my eyes
Zarbon looks so shocked even though he was the one who suggested wiping out the saiyans
“Oh god he actually went through with it…”
Man I love Bardock, how I wish he was brought back somehow
Man the thing is, with bardock only having a PL of 10,000 going super saiyan wouldn't do shit to frieza 😭
Bardock got a zenkai boost when he fought dodoria so i guess he's pl is 20k so if frieza stay in 1st form he will win
@@no.12papangkornkaewklad27 to get a zenkai boost he would have needed to be completely healed. Considering he could barely walk before his last assault, he couldn't have gotten a zenkai and was just running on adrenaline
@@no.12papangkornkaewklad27 A 20,000 SSJ would be on par with Frieza's 2nd form. Transforming from there is 1,000,000. Oh, and that's his 2nd form's minimum. If you watch the Piccolo fight he powers up before going to his 3rd.
@@no.12papangkornkaewklad27 he didn’t get a zenkai boost. You have to be healed to get the boost. Bardock isn’t beating any form of Frieza bro.
I love how they gave us hope that bardock could win but in reality he couldn’t do shit. I like to think that bardock went super sayin in the split second that he fired that blast that broke through frizas
Always love no matter how hard your dominating Frieza, in the cutscene your still damaged and injured.
You're already hurt before hand so domination doesn't leave you much better
Alternative title: freeza kills a brilliant scientist
The way Bardock's headband floats so ominously across the screen at the end as the choir chants is so unsettling. The only thing which attests to Bardock's existence and the battle prior is a little rag which will be lost in space. One moment he was there, the next he's been destroyed down to the last atom.
I definitely prefer the original to Kakarot's version, Frieza not even acknowledging Bardock and just laughing as he sentences an entire race to death really shows how beneath him they all were
I guess the Kakarot version was to show that Bardock never even had a chance against Frieza at all.
Yet he mentions Goku looks similar to him though? He definitely remembered Bardock
In the OG Z manga Freeza thought hes seen Goku before when they met for first time, only to realise the similarity to a saiyan warrior who stood up against him when he destroy planet vegeta, so yeah he does RECOGNIZE Bardock, atleast the face.
@@harukrentz435 Also shows Bardock's original design was supposed to be canon and the confrontation was somewhat the same
If there is one thing Bardock and Goku have in common is their unwavering determination.
No matter what happens in dragon ball, the pants will always be intact
I wish they include the Episode of Bardock in this game. I would really love to see him as a Super Saiyan!
Who's Bardock VA again? Because the man went above and beyond here
Fr
Sonny Straight, I believe. Krillin’s VA
This DLC is like watching a "Badock: The Father of Goku" extended edition movie!
Not gonna lie I was half expecting Bardock going Super in his struggle beam sequence.
Not having goku say "its not to late father...to be different...than him." really hurts that scene.
Thumbnail is S tier
Oh god the shred of his bandanna fluttering through space.. that hurt more than i expected.
I've never liked this game but whoever sequenced this encounter knew that the Bardock story fit perfectly with the game's format and I have to give credit where credit is due, it was fun watching that Frieza boss fight.
Solid State Scouter playing made this so much sexier. Nothing like nostalgia

Dodoria: it's raining men
Zarbon: hallelujah!
I appreciate that they really leaned into the decadent mad Emperor vibes here. Frieza expecting Zarbon and Dodoria to be as impressed by his slaughter himself is some peak Nero shit.

Salza: Monsieur Cooler! It seems that your brother Freeza is destroying the planet Vegeta!
Cooler: Very impressive, killing off a bunch of monkeys. Any liquored-up hillbilly with a shotgun could’ve done that at the zoo.
Salza: Wait, sir! It seems he has missed one ship! We’re within range to intercep...
Cooler: No. Let it go.
Salza: But... why?
Cooler: Because if he’s going to whine to our father for control over the entire system like a spoiled little brat, then he’s going to accept the responsibility. If this comes back to bite him, that’s his fault.

i hope one of these days we get a consolidated version of the canon between episode of bardock, dragon ball minus and the super broly movie that we can actually play through.
Man good thing Bardock didn't suffer that much if he was struggling with frieza first form the rest of his transformation would have been overkill 🤣🤣
How to ignore the broly remake movie in one single dlc, this is what Bardock is, a truly warrior.
And this how the story begins of Goku-San
I like grandpa Gohan. He seems like a nice man. Just taking in a strange child like that. What a chill dude.
You know it's bad when you got Zarbon and Dedoria shocked. Mind you, these guys are enemies even they are not as evil and cruel as Frieza
Freiza was always a hands off guy. Like he would usually only kill his own guys. In this case and namek he went personally
The fact it plays solid state scouter makes this sooooo perfect
The soundtrack of bardock, in the OVA, its legendary. More than the SSJ itself.
Bardock in film: Fights some low life soldiers
Bardock in game: Is a partial challenge to Frieza, Zarbon and Dodoria
Kinda cool how they used anime scenes in Bardock’s visions
Coming back to see this video always amazed me and adding more detail for the dlc
