Thanks for making and posting this guys, what a sad day. A professional, passionate team to the end; you can see the emotion in everyone. RIP Morfa Coke.

Slain by the by the green goblin... So we still need coke, the CO2 emissions will be someone else's problem now. Has the coal stockpile been consumed totally and all converted into coke.

The whole idea of the go green revolution was that some European bosses thought it would be a good idea to impose new laws to contain emerging economies like India and China to ever competing at the world scale. And now look how it turned out.

The UK will regret this day in years to come, TATA acts in TATAs interest, not the UKs.

Such a huge Irony in Indian Billionaires buying up the once mighty British owned Steel industry..........

Thousands of jobs being lost. The football interview-style questions and (particularly) answers were extremely surreal.

HUGE MISTAKE closing these down, China is building Coke Based Blast Furnaces for Steel Making that use low cost Australian Coking Coal. Electric Blast Furnaces need vast quantities of expensive Electricity, the days of the proposed Electric Blast Furnace are already numbered as the Green Fantasy drives up Electricity prices to where there will be no Steel industry in Britain.
