Alisha was first diagnosed with scoliosis when she was a junior in high school. The orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery, but her and her family decided against it. The next recommendation was to go to a chiropractor. It helped with inflammation, but it was usually temporary. As she grew older and became a mother, she was not able to be as active with her kids, which was really difficult for her. Dr. Nalda’s approach is to treat the scoliosis without surgery and straighten the curvature of the spine. When Alisha first came, she had a 43 degree curve in the lumbar region of her spine. Now, she is at a 31 degree curve and no longer considered a candidate for surgery. Alisha is thankful for the improvement in her spine. She can continue to take care of herself while being an example to her kids as well.

Unfortunately there are not many specialist in scoliosis. I have a very good PT. I currently do see a chiropractor who uses an activator. I think there is more that could done I do prefer hands on but he does not do that. What suggestions do you maybe have.

I was diagnosed officially when I was 22. However it was mentioned by a doctor when I was 15 that I may have scoliosis however nothing further was done about it then
