Daemon X Machina is simply the best No More Heroes game.
Better than 3 was IMO. NMH 3 kind of screwed the pooch in terms of replayability and soundtrack.

@@Icyfortune Nothin. Travis Touchdown got to pilot one of the mechs from DxM to beat the final boss (instead of Glastonbury) because...reasons. No More Heroes and DxM both made my Marvelous and DxM was just way better.

@@NuiYabuko Its a spoiler for No More Heroes 3, but if you dont mind keep reading. The main character is about to fall to his death but gets a notification that something is being brought in from another universe. An Arsenal appears and it saves him and uses the Arsenal to fight an Immortal sized mech. The song plays when the arsenal appears and it is awesome. It was a real treat to hear in NMH3.

(Full laser build that I named the "Disco" nothing but lasers, 8x of them) melts colossal weakpoints in seconds. Comes with the double edged sword of enraging them faster, eh who cares if you can kill them quicker before they do serious damage to your paycheck

I mean, any Arsenal with a mobility rating over 50 could dodge and weave between most Colossal Immortals. Hell, mine's sitting pretty at 78 mobility.

@@shayminthedoctor9663 do you have any tips for good melee builds? all the melee weapons ive got seem to have very low dps.
@@Dunryan It's been a while, so I don't know anything specific anymore... but in my experience if you want to go with viable melee you have to go dual swords. I'm probably wrong though, I'm sure there are viable ways to use single swords but I can't seem to do enough damage with just one sword

@@FieryHellzGaming Well I played the demo and was able to break the giant laser cannon off of the boss and use it against it(the cannon is like 10 times the size of your mech), so flipping another mech even if it's larger seems well within the realm of possibility

Guys let's not forget, you can go to the lab and get upgrades for your body like mechanical arms and legs that enhance you and your arsenal on the battlefield.

Whenever I do play the demo, I usually just go after the Colossal Immortal because that's really the only fight that keeps you on your toes.

DxM is very MGR adjacent in general, as well as just being really good. The music in particular is like MGR and modern DOOM music together
I'm so fucking excited for this game. In Prototype Missions, the Colossal Immortal boss completely wrecked my shit over and over, making me not only switch up the armor and weapons on my Arsenal, but also reevaluate my strategy and change how I played to overcome the challenge. This is how you make a fuckin game.
Now if only Four didn't have that annoying voice crack when announcing more incoming Immortal waves.
Honestly cannot wait for this game’s full release. Just imagine Online Boss Fights.

Optimistic Ignoramus idk man; the Switch can take a damn pounding. Being able to run a boss fight of this size enough seems ridiculous for the Switch to even be able to process.

@@mb2001 I wasn't prepared to fight the big 4 legged mech in the _demo_ . Besides we already had to deal with two colosal titans (attack on titan joke) in the 2nd order.
Also once you get used to the controls, the boss is really fun!

Literally the first time i died in DxM. Including prototype and prologue missions. Boss just pulled that no u out of nowhere and I got thanos snapped

The boss starts emitting blue sparkles before the shield comes up. It's enough warning to tell you to get out of there as soon as possible. You'd likely get hit the first time if you didn't know it was coming, but after that, you should just use this opportunity to heal up or reload or something.

Shooting off the bosses laser canon head then using his own weapon to kill it was a feeling I haven't felt since Xenoblade X chapter 10 ( or maybe it was 9's ) boss.

I'm getting flash backs to my recent fight against Gunfort. First time around, I had no idea what I was doing. I lost my Arsenal, and at that point, it was over. My Outer stood no chance. Outer's can take on smaller Immortals, and maybe even AI controlled Arsenals no problem, but a Colossal Immortal? Forget it. I died. But the loss was informative. Just before I lost, I discovered it had multiple weakpoints at the base, between its four legs. Armed with this knowledge, my Bazooka, and Mirage power, I was able to beat it. Still wasn't easy, my Arsenal only had 10% of its VP left. It was close for sure.
Of course, they then have the nerve to give me fighting that thing as a free Mission. The very nerve. I'll have to try it later, when I have better gear.

Yeah the demo was a limited release also for the fact that the developers wanted feedback from the beta build to implement into the final version.

But what type of genre of metal is this? Sounds on par with stuff I've heard with most modern metal nowadays. It's a mixture of like trance and screamo with industrial. That's my opinion at least. I need band name now!!
To me, it just sounds like industrial. More modern but this is what I'd expect from an industrial band if it were formed in the last 5 or 10 years. Even then, I could absolutely see KMFDM doing something like this.
I'd call it something like "techno-industrial death metal" or something like that. It's like the soundtracks of modern Doom and Metal Gear Rising mixed together
NMH3 wouldve been instant goty for me if that scene really made you have daemon x machina gameplay but that be too much for them lmaoo
