Dang, dude got royally screwed by someone he looked up to. Just trying to share a monumental discovery, and ended up in the stone age, or worse. Great story.

Awesome story. They didn't much like writing about everyday people back in those days, every story has some Lord, Dr/University Professor or some other random picked from the nobility. It's as if they thought everyone had 50 servants and an estate with a never-ending supply of coin. Everyday people have some of the most interesting, amazing stories imaginable. Still enjoy them though obviously but it would of made for alot more variation in subject matter. Some authors stories just start sounding the same.
You are right Sir I hadn't noticed actually but that's BC I usually high fantasy. Wizards and stuff.
