      My mum was on jury duty on a case in which a stolen car was a key piece of evidence. The police LOST THE CAR. The judge legitimately had to get them to repeat that fact because he couldn't believe it. You mean the samples from the car? No, the whole car. Prior to testing. THE WHOLE CAR.

    Your videos are so well made. The amount of research you do to get us all the info is really impressive. Id LOVE a video on how the military and/or other industries would "screen" people for being LGBT+

      @SurferJoe1 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Presumably, it would have consisted of a psych evaluation. (They probably asked enlistees how close they were to their mothers. I kid). It was always considered a possible way to stay out of Vietnam (mainly just by claiming it or giving the appearance). It became a bit of a running joke. And then you have the cross-dressing character in "MASH", trying to be sent home on a Section 8. The breakthrough was "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", sponsored by Clinton in 1993. A hated phrase now, it was the way forward for that one moment in time.

      I heard somewhere that people were able to go to thir Dr or Psychiatrist and get a "pink slip" and that would make them ineligible for the military, but I'm not sure where in the world that was or if its even accurate.

    Georgia he was probably practicing Hoodoo not Voodoo. Hoodoo is a form of voodoo that is practiced in the South. Voodoo is mainly practice in Haiti and New Orleans. I'm from Mississippi and growing up we were taught not to talk about it. I don't practice it because I'm a devote Christian. Because Voodoo and Hoodoo are so similar people often get them confused. They usually use the Voodoo label (especially if they are scamming) because the name is more popular.

    Jim Morrison avoided the Vietnam draft by making a scene and declaring he was gay. Imagine the military thinking being gay is so bad they would stop you going to war because of it. It’s nonsensical. It boggles the mind, that they thought no one would lie about like Morrison did.

    • @maxwellstefan8868
      @maxwellstefan8868 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The main reason they didn't assume people would lie about it to dodge the draft was because many people discharged for this reason were also partially or completely publicly outed in the process and for many that could be life-ruining

    Isn't it crazy Georgia that back then you could have been shamed by your family .
    I was wondering can't remember if I said it before about a case in Ireland still unsolved about a gay man from Scotland, Charles Self murdered in 1983. The police at the time targeted gay men as homosexuality was illegal in Ireland. There is a recent documentary out about it as well. Still unbelievable this hasn't been solved and the way 1500 men were treated.

    I could see one man perpetrating this, if he had the victims intimidated, and struck quickly at one man with a weapon. And one man was fairly immobile. The question is- what was going on? Was he a pick-up, or a hitchhiker? Was it spontaneous (weapon of opportunity?)? Does the spot have any significance? If the sexual attack was an afterthought (or post-mortem) then we're down to robbery, a drug deal, a hate crime, or just a psychopath.
