My daughter plays trombone in a band currently in the UK championship section. I sent to her and this is her reaction, “Flippin eck that’s sooooo fast !”
Exactly! I may not be in a sal army brass band but I rehearse at a DHQ in Michigan with one and I gotta say, even our Salvation Army brass band is amazing and plays really great pieces like this!
Beautifully preformed! What a technically demnding piece. I looked up the referenced name and am wondering how the Staff Band comes to play this Pushkin "epic fairy tale" poem set to music? How does it fit the ministry's focus?

This performance would stand up with any brass band in the world . Who says Salvation Army bands just play Christmas carols and hymns ??

love this arrangement
Meravigliosa sinfonia
Is this arrangement in manuscript? Can't see it published. Glad Michael Kenyon never tried this out on us when he was our bandmaster!😮
An excellent performance. Maybe tempo was just a little bit too fast for my taste, but it certainly demonstrated the amazing skills of the musicians

Salvation Army bands have always played arrangements of classical works. In the words of the founder "Why should the devil have all the best tunes".
