My HD screen worked great but it’s hell on a bush hog

I planted willows into a natural fence i made by cutting down 15 to 20 ft pine trees. Put the cuttings into the branches. Thinking about mixing a 1/3 rate of hd screen with a full rate of switch grass. Around the pines and making a browse bedding pocket. Have a irrigation method with in 75 ft of a pond.

I did all my planting and got my HD Screen planted last weekend, plus RC Big Rock switch! Really excited to see it grow. I followed the instruction sheet. Watched the Northwoods video on planting it. But I think my disc covered it too deep. Might have to do over. But make a chain link fence drag to go over it and drag it not disc it in. Thank goodness time is on my side with the HD Screen and soil temps. Great videos John thanks! 👍

As a former corn breeder l can appreciate your efforts on testing and research. I don’t know of any other seed company that provides the types of information you provide. Great job! Thanks John.

I planted last year in a hard drought year in KS. I can't believe that some of the plants were over 10' tall, when our native big bluestem didn't even put out a seed head because of the drought. Highly recommended

I plan on using HD screen on my property 1/4 mile .
I have everything I need . Just warm soil and dry soil after the rain. I appreciate your efforts and knowledge!

Your HD Screen works great here in middle Tn. In rocky ground. Some of the best easy to follow instructions.

Your HD screen worked great last year for me, I planted 10ft ×660ft. Along the shaded side of my now 3 year old switch to get going. Had lots and lots of daytime deer, turkey, pheasant and Bob white quail. Found turkey nest with 15 eggs out where it used to be ag just a couple years ago. Yesterday I even got to see all hatched except one, even got a good look at momma hen with lots of chick's following her.
    Was awesome to see.

Mid-Michigan here. We planted HD screen for the first time last year and had a massive fall storm come through our area. 90mph straight winds, trees down everywhere. I had several fruit trees break off right at the ground. The HD screen was bent over at quite an angle and I thought it was a goner. A couple weeks later most of it was standing back tall again. We ordered more this year for other areas of the property as well. Great, very resilient screen.

Do you see that deer like to eat the grain sorghum in your food plots? Any particlular kind of grain sorghum?

This will be my 4th year with a screen product along a road I am trying to screen from road hunters. I watched one of your videos and you said the soil couldn’t take 2-3 years of screening in the same spot. I’ve not used any fertilizer any year yet and have grown 10-12 foot screens each year. This may be the year it fails. It’s already planted so that’s that this year. What can I alternate between years and how many years do I swap something out before replanting your HD screen product. What’s the rotation and what else can I use in place of the HD screen?

I love the HD screen. My only issue is once it turns brown, it's mostly stalks down low. I may need to go a little wider. My plan for this year was to intermix Egyptian wheat with it. I'll be ordering soon. Would you recommend that. Soil is on the wetter side of the spectrum but the HD screen still grows well. Thank.
