Thank you so much for this information. I was given a 1921 S, FAKE half dollar. The condition looks perfect. When I looked at it under magnification, the rim on the date side was normal but on the eagle side, the rim has tiny, closely spaced lines that run top to bottom and fade out on the left and right edges. The grams are 11.45 Diameter is 1.210. The thickness is .086. I hope that this information helps.
I have a 21-D in an NGC VG-10 holder that I bought from a reputable dealer several years ago. One of the few key dates I could afford. It's a relief to see the diagnostics match the real specimens you posted. Great videos and information.
I have a 1936 lead Walking Liberty counterfeit that was, years ago, found in a half dollar changer at my grandfather's business. Your 1938 reminded me of it.

Daniel - as always, thanks for your great videos. Very educational and easy to understand. I have a question for you: how are you capable of updating your coin value prices manually? Does the Grey Sheet enable you to automate the process? It seems all consuming otherwise.
I just edit the tables. There's no automated system, someone, somewhere must type values in manually and it doesn't matter if it's Coin World, Grey Sheet or any website or value guide, all must be manual. Save for silver going up in 2011 the prices of coins have actually came down since then.

There's a coin show that coming to Houston, Texas at the end of February 2021. I plan on going but I just started looking at coins. I have a 1916-D full band Mercury Dime that looks new. My grandfather willed me his coin collection. I'm pretty sure that it's real. Would this coin show be a good place to sell it?

I have a walking liberty half dollar with only one side the lady side 1943 is it real how do I find out
If it only has one side then it's damaged and worth melt. So find a dealer with a silver tester.
It's hard to believe their are so many fakes thank you for the warning....
i bough a stash of silver couple days a go and one coin was 1947 walking liberty and the weight was 9.0 grams only is it fake?
