  • Most founder pitch decks have a serious mistake: the slide titles are just straight-up awful. Founders need to design their pitch decks to be skimmable, and good slide titles can make a massive difference. In this video, we’ll explain what a good startup pitch deck slide title actually looks like-and we even feature an good example. Thanks for watching!
    Timecodes:
    0:00 - Intro
    0:49 - Assume a VC will skim your deck in under 1 min.
    1:32 - The terrible deck headlines that founders usually write.
    2:30 - Make your slide titles full sentences.
    3:53 - Examples of good slide headlines for a startup pitch deck.
    6:10 - What do you put in the slides, under the right slide titles?
    7:08 - Make the language of your deck informal, plain spoken.

    Great video, guys! The advice makes total sense and I will definitely apply it in the future.
    Feedback on the video: Maybe at the very beginning have a view in which we can see you guys side by side, like a Zoom/Meet layout so the viewer can immediately visualise that you are doing this like on a call. The flow you have in this video forces the user to think and try to understand the dynamic. By adding that view at the beginning with the two of you connect, online like a Zoom/Meet layout, that part is quickly taken care of.
    Keep it up, guys! 🚀

    Do you recommend starting your deck with a 1-page executive summary? (when emailed)

    • @HustleFund
      @HustleFund  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. Not really. Assuming you just got off a call with the potential investor, they'll have the overview the summary would provide. If you are sharing the deck and you haven't yet met, your email blurb should do the trick
