    I have had an experience with the rainbow wheel, I was so confused and I didn't know how to restart my mac because this is my first mac but somehow I found out that the touch ID is the restart switch. I almost cried that day. 😃

    Hi. Great video! I got my first Mac,a MacBook air 3 months back and I recently encountered this issue "the filename.pdf couldn't open,the file is damage or use a file format that preview doesn't recognize" Not just preview but my PDF viewer couldn't open this file. How do I get the last saved version of my PDF pls helpppppp😭

      Let’s see how we can help. What program did you save this pdf from? What is the year of you MacBook Air?

      It's not from a program,the PDF file is a textbook actually,got it from my friend's flashdrive. A lot of editing has been done and so many jottings in there too. I'm a student🥺😩

      @@hadijatolorire1897 ok was your friend also using an apple computer? If so the computer probably has 2 versions of software on both the Macs and are alternately opening the wrong one.
      You may have to change permission settings. Permission settings determine who can view and alter files on the computer. You change permission settings at the bottom of the Info window for a file, folder, or disk in the Finder. For example, you can change permission settings for a folder so that other users who log in to your Mac, or connect to it for file sharing, can view but not change files in a folder.

    I have received a mac computer. Now mind you I always had windows. I did a factory reset, as I didnt know its not the same as windows. I ended up not signing out of anything. Went to clear the memory, didnt know you had to rename it and all. Now that I restart it and to rename it and add the software it won't allow me to. How can I fix this or what can I do?.

    • @Anvillgroup
      @Anvillgroup  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nicole! Thanks for the question! It sounds like you just want to clear what’s in your internal hard drive. Are you able to at least boot up your computer to the desktop screen? What particular software do you want to install? What year is your Mac? Sorry if these questions are redundant!

      @@Anvillgroup i cleared the hard drive but I restarted it. I didnt know that I had to rename it. So I did so after watching videos, never could get it to work. I have Sierra software and connected to the internet to do software upload doesn't download. Im not sure as to what year it is since someone had given it to me.

    My A1502 macbook wifi is disabled with an exclamation mark on it. There is no wi-fi or bluetooth option in network preferences to add one. Could you suggest the fix. Tried restarting in safe mode already

    • @Anvillgroup
      @Anvillgroup  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear this! So what is the reason you’re using safe mode? I probably need a little more information. Can you see the WiFi/bluetooth icon on the top right corner of your screen?

      @@Anvillgroup Wifi option does exist on the top right corner with disabled mode and can’t turn it on. The second option i have under wifi is network preferences. There wifi option is not available. Tried to add using + but the list doesn’t have wifi or bluetooth.
      Bluetooth option does show on the top right corner of the main screen. I can toglle it on & off.

    How is it possible to install the wrong version of an Apple Os on your mac from updating it.... this is totally ridiculouse ... I have worked as a IT Tech for over 20 years and have never seen this. There has never been an update that has made your Mac unusable, there were a couple of issues with Yosumite but nothing else comes to mind....

    • @Anvillgroup
      @Anvillgroup  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m trying to follow your question. You can’t a “wrong” version but you certainly may not need the version you are installing. Apple tends to upgrade their OS too frequently and unnecessarily.

    • @RetroGamer_George
      @RetroGamer_George ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Anvillgroup Your over dramatising the situation, very unlikely that Apple would push an update that would cause that much drama, its really frustrating when you click on a link and you have to listen to nonsence.

    • @Anvillgroup
      @Anvillgroup  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RetroGamer_George I appreciate your view. We just have different opinions. I have been in the middle of several production projects and clicked on an os update and it stalled my workflow to the point that I had to time my computer back to the previous os version. It’s just a risk I’m not willing to take.

    When I turn on my Mac Air, a message says "Mouse key is on," and the keyboard doesn't work (doesn't type some of the letters) so I can't login. I've contacted Apple Support two times. Both support people tried everything they knew to try. Nothing helped.

    • @Anvillgroup

      I’m sorry to hear this. Do you have a mouse connected via Bluetooth or usb? It sounds like it’s just a mouse issue. Restart your computer. Try this…Start by pressing Cmd + Option + F5 to bring up the Accessibility Shortcuts menu. Then, press the Tab key repeatedly to highlight the Mouse Keys option. Press Space to select it, followed by Esc to save your changes.
