You forget sometimes how badly cars rot🙄……..I’ve built cars sometime ago…….but I have to say I’d have walked away from this, but I’m stunned by the progress you’re making ……👌🏽😎
@@AdamSNook. I had an 81 2.3 Ghia auto in diamond white, turqouise/blue interior. The whole area where the inner wings met the bulkhead was totally gone. Went to a recommended welder, he didn’t want to know. One day I’ll find a nice 2.3 Ghia S automatic in nice condition. It’s one of those bucket list things!!
If you are using a fluxcore welder buddy use a compressor to cool the metal down as you go it will stop the metal from warping with the heat. I do most of my welding with fluxcore I weld outside i am quite lucky that i can get the metal cooled down. You can buy cans of anti splater that will help as well. Fair play to you for taking on a car that most people would have just stripped it for spares.😊👍
its those little snag jobs now on the front end, just to make it better as you say. From when you 1st started to now, that's some real strong progress! Id be looking at treating the front end as you said, just so there is something on it, until you get there. What is the boot floor and rear like? be nice to see what that is like and what your plans are, even though you are way off sorting that out. When i did welding on my rover metro, there were some little holes that were fast fixes funny enough.
the boot floor is in fact very good clean condtion i will try to show that asap in fact oncei clear it out of the parts lol will do a little walk around video showing the extra bits thats not seen yet
Looking alot better if you are worrying about the looks grind it down flat and put some filler over is easier to sand then fiberglass but its your choice but looks solid and im glad to see your getting better comments ive got a parkside grinder adjustable speed and came with the extra bushes and it's alot bigger and more powerful £25 in lidi i would listen to any over advise off people who has done welding on cars before you will get it done mate
@@AdamSNook.Just do wat can been seen and wat can't just put a couple of good coats of something thick wat ever you going to use underneath as it's the MOT tester yet having to watch but ive seen some right bad welding (pigeon shit) pass MOT on some vehicles you welding is getting better with the welder you are using at the moment mate
@@petergrinnell2500 its getting even better i have started watching the pool of weld and that allowes me to do good seam welds now instead of pulse welding another video is going up today
Hi adam, personally i think the cars bit to far gone. that in itself does not mean it cant be saved. keep at it and mabey try get someone else to help you.. never mind the negetive comments . if i lived near you id offer to help you get it fin faster. [ ive done all of what your attemting and got it thru mot. ] so hope this message helps you carry on. been there , done it ......davie.
thank you mate thats a fair opinion on your side and yes i need to not listen to negative people not sure how many people have pretty much made a bulkhead working with only what was there and lines to what used to be there i would say i have done a pretty good job to be fair
