- This was a beautiful OVA! I really like the band and I love their music so much. It was really interesting seeing Mashiro's struggles and how people around her dealt with it, just a lot of fun (and some teary eyes).

Actually in ep 1 they did mention Nanami's name (the pink hair girl) at least twice. Once was when Toko was talking to her directly, but the subtitles translated it as just "you", and 2nd time was when Mashiro was talking to Nanami who was watering the plants, which you missed.
Besides the stunning animation, I really love the little details. The expressions were definitely superb. Another thing which might've been insignificant was how the scene practically paused while waiting for Mashiro to wipe away her tears, which I think was a nice touch. Most of the time, anime seems to breeze through this kind of scene, with the character just brushed their arm over their face and they're good. But here, the anime took its time to wait for Mashiro slowly wiping away her tears, fitting of her gentle personality, as well as (I'd like to think) a sign of how she was gradually breaking off her mental block instead of immediately.
The direction of the OVA in general is also well done imo. I didn't know any backgrounds about Morfonica at all before watching the OVA, but only through two episodes I could already completely understand each character's personality. The anime did it in a smooth way that none of the events were abrupt just to feature the important aspects of Morfonica, which often happens in short episodes of anime when they try to fit in too many things in 20 minutes. The flow was natural. Morfonica is having a summer camp, but then Mashiro has a mental block. That's it and nothing more.
The violin has an overwhelming presence in Morfonica's live performances. Also, in their joint live performance with Roselia, they performed Roselia's gothic songs with a violin arrangement, which was a perfect match and was wonderful.
This is during their first year just like Ako, Roka and Asuka so their not really close to each other yet, but in Mygo Morfonica member will be second year.

The thing about Nanami is in a way she's kinda similar like Hina from Pasupare who's Prodigy and when she do something she can be really good at it in short time, the difference is unlike Hina who's doesn't really care about what other think or say and only care about what she like or her interest only Nanami is the opposite she's really insecure about her ability and wanted to be more Normal, in the game there's a an event story where Hina and Nanami interact with each other and seeing hina give some advice to nanami as senpai is really wholesome
Fun fact : rui rui ever faced rin rin at piano competition when they were little. Rui rui lost at that competition so she jump to violin and she is great on it.

This is inaccurate, I'm afraid, Rui never played the piano. She knew Rinko as a child, because their mothers were friends, and they attended the same competitions but in different categories. This is probably going into spoilers but Rui gave up the violin for a long time because she couldn't win and she felt it was not worth all the effort if she couldn't win first prize, and only later was persuaded to restart playing when joining Morfonica.
I always think that the 2 girls didn't want to hurt Shiro. And always like her way to be and been kawaii.
The ending song was a totally new song, first time we all heard it. The oav was on TH-cam worldwide at the time with sub. At the second it end the song was uploaded as a song. Amd 2 days after Morfonica had a live and the last song was this one.

Incidentally, the drummer's family name is Futaba, and Tsukushi is her personal one. It's just that Rui is super formal with everyone so always uses family names.
You have excellent taste in liking her though! Like you said, she's always very kind and tries her best to be the best leader she can, even though she sometimes falls short. She reminds me of Aya and Himari, her fellow twin-tailed leaders who are very teasable but still do the best they can. You can't help but root for them haha.
Yup, Argonavis from BanGDream is what is called, however everyone just knows it as Argonavis. It's college students making a band.
I watched the first episode when it came out and it was wonderful, but it has been a time so I may not remember much.
So, there is context for Argonavis:
Previously named Argonavis from BanGDream was supposed to share continuity with bandori, however a group of sickofans got scared at the prospect of "BoYs In My GiRlS bAnD aNiMe FrAnChIsE?", after that bushiroad had to go and day they would be separate continuities under the same ptoject: those fans were not satisfied and continued to cry about it.
So now its known as FROM Argonavis.
Anyways, If you want to add Argonavis then that ammounts to:
1 anime season, and two short films (64min and 80min)
All this time, i haven't watch argonavis but it would be cool if you do.
As I said in the previous episode that Futaba Tsukushi's seiyuu mika became a drum instructor for Saaya's seiyuu and Poppin'Party's Drummer Ohasi Ayaka, Ako's seiyuu and Roselia's Drummer Sakuragawa Megu, and Taki's seiyuu and MyGO!!!!!'s Drummer Hayashi Coco but I actually forgot to mention that aside from being a drum instructor for those 3 nbands she's actually the unofficial 6th member for both Poppin'Party and MyGO!!!!!. mika occasionally perform with Poppin'Party as a backing drummer especially when Hasshi (Ohashi Ayaka) sing with Aimi in the front. mika also served as a support drummer during the formation of MyGO!!!!! and even performed with them in their 1st live back in 2022.
argonavis is not really a part of the bang dream franchise anymore due to a loud minority being really weird about it, but the anime is worth checking out for sure!
Yup I would suggest that you should watch D4DJ once you finished BanG Dream! since D4DJ featured some of the seiyuus/musicians from BanG Dream!, Revue Starlight and even Love Live. D4DJ has 2 seasons so far, a mini series called Petit Mix similar to Garupa Pico and a OVA called Double Mix.
About the male counterpart of BanG Dream! called Argonavis they are no longer a part of BanG Dream! they are now called Argonavis AA Side. Personally I'm not going to recommend it for some reasons like it isn't even cannon and don't have any connection from the girls in BanG Dream! and sorry to say this and I might offend those who are such a big fan of Argonavis and I apologize in advance but just to clarify I don't hate these guys they are really talented and I don't hate them because they are male cause I even watched Music Anime Series with male characters like Macross and Detroit Metal City to name a few but none of their songs really stands out to me I don't know maybe it's just my personal preference and with Argonavis it's kinda like a crossover that no one asked since it's just Boss Kidani's own desire to have a male counterpart and let's be real a way to appeal to the female demographic and even Boss Kidani said that they will be in a separate universe cause let's face it no one would like their girls to be with these guys and to me personally I also don't like the idea, especially with the name attached from BanG Dream! in Argonavis name it kinda like milking the success of the original Bang Dream since I came to know BanG Dream in 2017. 2 years after it's inception in 2015 that's why I also have a strong attachment to the original.
Basically a lot of projects that have an audience have a companion project for the opposite audience.
Given the audience of Bushiroad projects would not necessarily be the same audience as Argonavis was certainly a part in the bad reception.
Musical preferences are A OK, remember it was kidani that though about making BanGDream after watching Aimi at an Idolm@ster concert singing Ryuuseigun.
