5:cats like attention but don’t want it all the time like dogs and if you give them too much attention they might bite you
6:get scratching posts and toys for your cats if you don’t say hello to string town on your furniture
7: if you have a cat that hides from you never go and try and force it to you just let it warm up to you I know it might take time but trust me it works

I adopted a cat last year after having my dogs stolen. I was always a dog person who wasn't fond of cats.At the time I wanted a furry companion that was more independent and not as needy as dogs. A companion who would just kinda be there chilling and let me pet it at least once a day. Then I adopt Pixie (my cat) and holy shit.... I wasn't expecting a cat to be so chatty, constantly pull at my hand for attention when I'm sitting on a chair, and sleep right next to my face. I was expecting a teenager who would just do their own thing, not a needy and chatty cat. I love her though and she is the best thing that has happened to me last year ever since I lost my dogs.
