Nice collection. It's cool to see the evolution in console design and games from the NES all the way up to the OLED Switch. And your games are definitely quality over quantity, which makes a nice change. Enjoyed the vid mate, and have subbed!
Great selection of systems and love the plan to get some further handhelds. Looking forward to future monthly updates. You popped up on my YT home page as a recommendation; great to see more Uk gaming channels 😊👍. Just subbed.
That is a nice collection. Oh and Yoshi on the Wii U is the best Yoshi game absolutely love it. Also Captain Toad in my opinion is better on the Wii U than the Switch because of the control system. It is a pity more games didn't utilise the Wii U pad. It will be good to see how your collection grows.
Yeah the Wii U was pretty underrated, I get it had its issues but it had an amazing library and when utilised properly the game pad was pretty fun. And cheers mate!
Hi bud, that's a great collection you got there 😄 i come over from retro ed uks recommendation 👍 you got to get grab a copy of link between worlds on the 3ds, one of the best games I've ever played. If you don't mind me asking how old are you? I noticed you said childhood system with the wii, be great to hear what you think about the original mario games etc if you grew up with newer system's bud 😄👍 great vid there and im subbed now 👍
I'm 20 so a bit on the younger side, I honestly love the games still, they're still really well made. And I used to have it, what a phenomenal game that was, proper switched up the formula for zelda. Unfortunately I have no clue what happened to my copy of it but I need to get it again
I like collections like this! It feels so much more like quality instead of quantity. And I don't get those "hoarding vibes". Hope you can get some more games for NES, SNES and Gameboy! I know, Switch Online got many retro games but that's a subscription and not owning copies of the games. Another game you might wanna buy is Zelda Game & Watch 35th anniversary. So you have both two 35th anniversary units. Last but not least - the most important: make sure to enjoy the games! I got Wii, 3DS and Switch. Around 30-40 games per console. Plus the Classic Mini consoles and a few Amiibos. That's kind of my collection. I'm glad I'm not a hoarder of games :) the games are mainly Mario, Zelda, Mega Man and some other games. Also got Metroid Dread Special Edition :)
Awesome man, that's a right collection you've got going there. I literally just added the Zelda Game and Watch to my Nintendo basket, that's some spot on timing there 😂
Awesome!! My strategy is to buy new games while still cheap so that's why I tried to buy some 3DS games last years. And "campaign products" also. Amiibos are also cheap as "brand new" after a new print from Nintendo but a few years later pretty expensive and you might have to buy used Amiibos without the package. Some games that I never buy: Pokemon. I'm really not into that. Same with Final Fantasy. Same with Animal Crossing. Will probably never buy those games. The only non-Nintendo stuff that I got: Sega Mega Drive Classic Mini Mega Man Wily Wars (2021 / RetroBit) Mega Drive Classic Mini got Wily Wars so that made me buy it. And then they released the physical Wily Wars and I had to buy it as a collector's item. Otherwise it's pure Nintendo in my collection. Gonna buy a - few - more games for Wii and 3DS. I feel almost done. I might buy these GC games if I find them used in good enough condition for a fair price: Super Mario Sunshine Zelda Wind Waker Metroid Prime And also, if I find this for Wii for a fair price: Metroid Prime Trilogy. When I grew up I had NES, then sold it plus all the games a few years later to afford SNES and "Zelda 3". I can't remember what happend to that SNES. I also had a Gameboy but same thing: can't remember what happend to that one. I miss my old consoles but it is what it is. At least I got pretty many of "my games" back thanks to the Classic Mini consoles and Switch Online. I know about {cough cough}... emulation, I've tried it, but it's really not the same thing. It's so hard to find a great controller and I cannot play with a keyboard. The great thing with all these physical releases is the artwork! Especially the special editions of games. Now this new Zelda TotK Coll Ed was pretty expensive compared to Metroid Dread SE. I don't wanna have all games digitally on the console's flash memory (eMMC, SD card or whatever). We can do the math to see how much storage we need if I've bought all my games as Digital Downloads instead. Would be a lot. Not THAT expensive to buy a SD card with 256 GB or 512 GB. But sooner or later you will need to buy another one, and then another one. You cannot even re-sell the digital downloads so it's a 100% loss. The physical copies will never be a 100% loss. In some cases you will make money. It's not a big deal for me to swap physical games when I wanna play another game. I've actually bought a few games as Digital Download for Switch. But I only do that on these very good sales. So for example Castlevania Anniversary Edition. I actually bought that game as a physical release (Limited Run Games) at the end of 2021 when it was kind of brand new. Still sealed! Maybe I will keep it sealed and play the digital download only. In the end of the day, it's the games that are most important, not the consoles, so that's why I'm not that into buying the original consoles for NES, SNES and so. I rather have fewer consoles it that's possible. That's also why I got Wii and not Wii plus GC. The only downside with Wii is that you cannot use that GameBoy games add-on made for GameCube. Maybe also that link cable for other GC and what about the GBA connection? Would actually be so nice to play GB games on GameCube! You cannot have everything :) but you can have a great "quality over quantity" collection! Just wanted to share some thoughts and so :)
100% mate, seems like you've got an excellent grasp on what you love doing, so why change it, there's no point in doing something you don't enjoy so keep the status quo. Like you said, it's about the games, that's why the vast majority of us collect what we collect because we enjoy them.
Exactly! And I've seen these collectors that got "all NES games ever released in that country". Of course it's nice to have a complete collection like that. It's a great challenge to get all those games but at least I wonder if it's really worth it. I rather collect "as many Zelda games as possible". I'm more into game series than "all games for each console". So to give a great example of this: I bought these physical copies for Switch: Mega Man Legacy Collection (LC) Mega Man X LC Mega Man Zero/ZX LC Mega Man 11 So with all these games for Switch, I don't feel the need to buy the games for NES, SNES and so on. It's about the games. And these 4 physical copies takes up so little space. Only one negative thing: Mega Man LC and Mega Man X LC got only the first games on a game card, the last games are not physical. But you get the point :) it's about the games, not the consoles. But we need at least one or a few consoles to actually play the games. So how many consoles and which consoles is really a personal preference and how big your apartment or house is, and how big your wallet is :) One last thing in this comment about collecting: I've noticed that these huge collectors often buy bulks of many games, even if they don't like the games. It's so they can trade games: they can trade a game from that bulk against a game that they wanna have. So they have a collection plus a "trading area". Maybe it's worth it? I don't know.
I'd say bulk buying is worth it, I have done it with other things like comic books, keep the stuff you want and sell off the other stuff because more often than not you can make your money back or even make profit. Or like you said, trade for better games
Subbed! Love to see collectors grow their collection.
Thanks man! Means a lot
Nice collection! It’s great to see other UK people on here.
Thank you, means a lot!

Thank you mate, that means a lot, just got myself a game boy color actually as well so I'll show that off in the update

Nice Nintendo collection. 😀
Thanks man, I try my best haha
Cool collection!
Thank you very much!
Nice Collection : )
Thank you very much
Nice man !
Thanks!
My games are stored away into bins ☹. It's cool that you have your games stowed next to their respective consoles for quick and convenient access.
Thank you, I'm lucky that I have room to now. A few years ago mine were all stored away too

Zombie U and Project 0(Fatal Frame) use the pad very well in my opinion. And zombie U is a cheap game and very good if you like horror themed games.
Yeah definitely, even games like Minecraft utilise it very well
Oooh! So many goodies 😮😮😮
Haha, thank you!

It was my first hand held zelda, honestly amazing!
I really like the white DSi!
Thank you, it was my girlfriends from when she was younger. We ended up finding loads of old photos on it 🤣
