where did you get them not having any ambition? Jade literally says that they're people who only have ambition where their hearts should be. It's most likely why the Stonehearts seem to come and go, similar to the Nameless
I feel like the ten stonehearts are talented people with sad backstories and have a void (ambition) that can never be filled and even the cornerstone isn’t actually filling it. They have nothing to lose(already lost everything?) so they can just work for the IPC for their whole life

Although that would be cool but Elio was implied to be a "he" and his voice was somewhat revealed at the bad ending when you refuse to join the Express.

There are multiple ways they can work around this.
One way is that the Male voice is a body substitute. A body substitute person plays the role or pretending to be a person while the real person hides in the shadows pretending to be someone else. Normally only allowing a few people to know who he really is while keeping everyone else in the dark. I mean, there were several hints throughout the story that indicated their affiliation with Finality, from them accepting their deaths, Elio's ability over future sight, their plans to find the one outcome that can stop Nanook and even their talks about destiny.
Elio can see through fate, Terminus has seen everything what will happen its no wonder they follow the Finality , plus the stellaron hunters logo has the Finality starlike eyes which symbols finality
