Malabar climbing spinach . . . . Yummeee, can't go wrong, it's grows rampant and feeds a lot of people. Handles heaps sun and even drought tolerant but no frost. Really well worth growing and easy, just like this video. Thank you :-)

На севере России пытаюсь выращивать зимой зелень, остальное не растет. А летом можно и в огород посадить, но тоже под пленку😒
I've always wondered what it would be like to grow food in Russia. I'm sure it's difficult, but don't give up. There's plenty of ways to warm up an area enough to grow. At least, that's what I keep reading. Good luck!
@@penelopegrier5073 В России много климатических поясов! Есть места, где реально жарко. Есть умеренные пояса, таких большинство. Но есть, конечно и территории с очень суровым климатом!🙂 Но даже и там делают теплицы и оранжереи!

I have no idea what he grew. I was wondering that myself. I didn't recognize the seed or the leaves. I guess I haven't grown that before. Looks beautiful though.

It was indeed enjoyable but I must have missed a lot of information. Was that felt he used at the bottom of the pot? Is there a drainage hole? What is he growing?
@@isabellelaval7294 I agree. Apparently it is malabar climbing spinach. There is a drain hole. He is growing these in the top of what appears to be water bottles. Not sure what he used to hold in the dirt, but it appeared to be stiff, not felt.

Очень интересно.... Так можно вырастить любую зелень зимой на подоконнике. Можно сеять редис на листья, горчицу, горох. И срезать не дожидаясь таких размеров, а буквально 5-10 см. Где-то я тоже про это видела. Всё, пошла за землёй....
Получилось на балконе? У него частный дом. Растения на улице стоят. У меня на балконе вся зелень тонкая, а возле дома и засохший фикус вновь расти начал.
Света не хватает на подоконнике

Думаю зимой не получится - света мало
только при хорошем освещении . я выращиваю рукколу каждый год зимой

*What is the white thing you put inside, what soil mix did you use, what kind of seeds & did you soak them first? Do you keep them in full sun? Thankfully someone in the comments told us what type of plant it was, another question I had was what was being put at the bottom of the gallon bottles. A small plate?
Anything that can actually cover the big hole to prevent to soil to fall out. Still, I haven't figured out what kind of plant was it and I really like this "United States" tag in the video of this Asian farmer. :-D

I grew red malabar this summer, enjoyed eating leaves, vines and flowers. Moved it inside when temperatures dropped. It’s doing great and I gathered many seeds to sow a bigger crop next year. I had to crop a couple vines and now two are growing from those spots, increasing my yield. I appreciate your methods and hope to get more bamboo next year. I grew mine up a branch that I placed in the pot. It looked like a lush tree 🌳. The “pots” you are growing in look like the tops of water jugs? What was the white, round piece you placed inside before the soil? I really like your watering can. Give us a good look next video? Thanks.

They definitely look like water jugs and I would say that the white things were plates to cover the hole to stop the dirt from falling out.

Muito bom, tudo que planto na minha casa eu consumo, hoje mesmo comi uma mostarda que plantei não tem nem um mês, amanhã vou comer couve do vaso também, tenho orapronobis, jaboticaba, pitanga, enfim tudo com carinho se consegue, todos em vasos, só plantar e colher

I love this plant, and we grow it in Red stem; Malabar Red spinach. It reseeds well. Bears all season and has edible berries.

I have grown I Gardens to the last 32 years this is the first time I've ever seen a seed pop out and grow that fast in 5-days absolutely no way this is possible

The long beans seeds I planted germinated within 2 days...I was surprised to see it. Maybe because the seeds were fresh and I left it under grow lights inside my room plus used a good seed starting soiless mix.

Looks amazing 👏 😍 👌 may I ask ur approximate location? Temp or month u started seeds? Also, ur soil or compost- is that potting, raised bed, castings or manure? Just curious so I can try to match ur growing conditions as close as possible. I'm a fairly new gardener. Been growing here & there for over 20 years. Always with the help of my mama (green thumbs, fingers and toes, to be honest) she couldn't kill a plant if she left it in the desert, w/o H2O and stomped on it daily ! NO JOKE= JEALOUS? 1,000,000 %! I, unfortunately did not receive this gene😢🥺 And, I may have taken her help with all things gardening, for granted 😬😒 My mama has now passed; FINALLY to go home - w/ Our Savior & King!🙏😎💜 Rest her soul... Which leaves me dangling, desperately attempting to understand the magic that is growing my own plants, crops, garden, flowers, oasis in a seed(s). This is one of the many hobbies that fondly reminds me of my time with mama. So, now that I've spewed my weepy, sad story to y'all, can ya help an ol' girl out? Im open to any & all suggestions, opinions, expertise,advice, ideas, thoughts and fun facts! Please forgive me for taking up so much space. Grow some kind of vegetable, or something you can eat. If only in one pot. It will make a difference. It helps to lessen the impact of any food shortages at the markets.
Great advice. Start with one plant. The next year, maybe have 2 plants. Anything to lessen the burden.

Шпинат это не овощь, это трава, для шпината может и пойдёт, а вот для огурцов места мало, растение будет хилым и урожай будет скудным

What is the purpose of pinching the top of the stem off, before you placed the bamboo?
Is that to Imcrease growth?
It's to make the plant bushier.
It works with other plants like basil, too!
It works with any plant
So it gets bushier & to stop it seeding
Well, I couldn't learn too much about what you were doing in this video. No shade and no one's fault. I'm totally blind is why.
But I seriously want to thank you for the video because of the fabulous music you played for a voice over. I had never heard of Alder before this and that song "Gone So Fast" was excellent! so were the other two you played. Now, I've got a new-to-me artist to check out. thank you for stretching my musical horizons. It's just as important to me as learning to grow my own food which I'll figure out eventually...lol.
